I was talking with Tom this evening and then started feeling all nostalgic and googled my way into this. As far as I'm concerned, all of my work is public domain at this point, as long as it gets credited (not that I'd ever check). Tom sounds pretty enthused as well, so I'm sure he'd be okay with it. Stress, you should try to get a hold of him. I can still be found on MSN with the old email address, although I don't actually check that email anymore.
