What exactly do you get out of killing someone in PvP? XP/gold? If you die in PvP, do you take that huge armor penalty someone mentioned happening when you die?
You get the satisfaction of having killed someone. Yes the armour penalty I mentioned earlier is applied in open-world PvP. If you however join in a PvP warzone battle it does not apply.

Oh and yesterday I was finally ganked for the first time by 3 rebs. They waited until I had finished killing an elite mob on Hoth, healed up and then a level 41 and two level 50's jumped my ass. I just stood there and took it. Lasted about 14 seconds and then I was dead. The two 50's danced on my body while the 41 bowed. At least they didn't camp my corpse (which was actually good for them cause our guild has about 90 members and it would have been really fun to watch the rebs bei
I swore I would never touch an MMO.........sigh......well the Star Wars story is just too good so yeah....... [e digicons]O:)[/e] I'm now rolling a level 38 Sith Juggernaut (had to go imperial......no way am I rolling republic scum! hehe). pacov, you gain more credits from completing ALL bonus mission objectives as well as keeping your credits by not dying. Everytime you die your armour takes a huge hit and if you need to
as far as I'm concerned there is no "series" of Homeworld. There is only Homeworld and the un-official expansion Homeworld Cataclysm. Homeworld 2 does not exist Having said that, I do wish someone would pick up the absolutely fantastic story set forth in "Homeworld" or even the slightly tangential story of "Cataclysm" and make another one. Let's just all agree to forget the
Brad, I told you the IRNV would make you lazy........should've listened to me! hehe [e digicons]O:)[/e]
Brad, Put some frag-rounds in the shottie and you'll have some very satisfying (albeit probably over-powered) one-shot cross-map kills. Whenever I pull out my semi-shottie with frag-rounds my buds laugh and say "here comes monk with his mini-APC" hehe Suffice it to say there are definitely a few "over powered" things in BF3 at the moment, IRNV being probably the main one. I have personally never used it (my .9

On STEAM? About time! hehe
Testdisk is fantastic. Began using that years ago. FYI I have successfully used it (testdisk) to recreate a partition table and thereby regain access to a drive a friend had mistakenly formatted and already begun installing a new OS onto.
I'm not aware of anyone in this thread arguing against the services being offered. Rather, it is the restrictions entailed by them that we disagree with. This has nothing to do with technological advancement, and everything to do with policy and legal decisions at both a government and corporate level. These features certainly could be offered without the onerous DRM, they just aren't.
I over the many
boshimi336, Soon now you won't have a choice. ALL media (especially all software) will be delivered and/or managed digitally and remotely thereby making systems like STEAM a necessity and not an option any longer. Good luck being a hold out.......just know that's all you really are, and at some point soon it will become painfully obvious how and why that strategy will fail you in the long term. If "DarkCloud" is actually LordDarkCloud then yes I can also vouch for him in the community. We both played SINS right from the start years ago now. While I played the game for a while and watched the nerf-bat strike homerun after homerun on this and that unit; what ultimately turned me away from the game was that it seemed to be impossible for the DEVS to balance things in such a way as to mitigate the use of unit-spam (whatever was consider
Nenjin, I couldn't have said it better myself. Being an RO:OST vet (I clocked several hundred hours in that game) I can however tell you that not all RO vets feel the same. I for one am totally onboard with the new middle-ground RO2 is trying to occupy. What the delusional RO vets call "fence sitting" I call evolution. Just about everything about RO2 is to love and respect as advancement......well except for the hor
Honestly, after playing RO2 my need for a new shooter has been quenched. I still want BF3. But with the headache that is Origin, their EULA shenanigans, the $60 price tag, all their marketing hype, the lamest beta offering ever.....I can wait. I really can. Release is going to be a trainwreck anyways. I'm really glad RO2 came along, because until it I was mostly satisfied with what I saw of BF3. Now, it's starting to look a lot li

heheh Thoumsin [e digicons][/e] I do the same thing.......a real server box is the best. Everything is built to last, provides fantastic airflow and is so freakin heavy anyone wanting to steal it would have to bring a dolly!
I played NEXUS: the Jupiter Incident forever. Absolutely loved that game. I will also gladly pick this up when it comes out! [e digicons][/e]
