The command prompt is usually half of the screen so even changing the wallpaper seemed pointless. Also in windows versions pre Win8 I found myself using the [I]desktop[/I] as little more than a dumping ground for misc files. So I really like an OS that allows for performing UI tasks without the desktop (ie. running the apps like mail etc.)......not tempted as much to just dump crap there (on the desktop).....hehe EDIT: The complete truth i

Absolutely the tanked economy is in my opinion a much larger reason as to the overall decline in PC sales. People are 'making do' these days, where pre 2008 they might have upgraded. starkers, If you have a spare 'router' and you want to use the four ports on it as a simple 'pass-through' switch (instead of going and buying just a switch) you'll need to disable 'network address translation' (what the router does by default). Wizard.......in case you missed it.....(with all of this sheep stuff being posted about I'd not be surprised!)....I linked to a thread in my latest reply back on page one that you might find interesting with regard to 'Win8 on older hardware'. Not only did Windows 8 install on the oldest hardware I have in my home it is also running that hardware better/smoother than all previous MS OS's that had been installed on that hardware previously.

Well since I haven't personally experienced the issue the only real suggestion I had was the 'clearing of personal info' from the tiles because I know that helped a client of mine with some tile info not updating. Since that didn't work, all I've got left are things I've picked up from doing some topical web-searching (I'm the curious type).
