I have been gone many years. I only returned to tell everyone I am well. I moved on from hotel housekeeping to housekeeping in a carehome in 2009. I was no longer happy at the hotel. When I read the first part of this blag I was very sad. As I continued to read I saw that you were keeping a positive additude about the situation and using a bit of humor. I am glad you did this it will keep all of us at ease and you too of course. THey say laughter is the best medicine too. You stay tough! You are in my thoughts.
It is amazing what you can find on the internet. So is this a black smith type of furnace? Forgive me my ignorance. I am always willing to learn something new. Even if it is just a little bit about a subject. :)
We have hunting rifles in our home. They could be used to protect if need be. But I would not be the one using them. I am afraid the kick would knock me on my butt. :LOL:

My digital camera's battery door won't stay closed. So I have to Duct tape it. Still takes ok pics and doubles as a web cam.
Wrens are very territorial. They have taken on our cats a few times.

The flat tires thing does suck. My husband is always running over a stray nail, screw , or wire in the road. Thankfully he has not done so when we have put new tires on the car. My husband worked for the state department of roads so I am familiar with the size of those mobile factories. He usually had to work with asphalt ones though. <
