I think the quest dlc is a great addition. well worth the 5 bucks.
kangon
there are enough games that get the "multiplayer balance". keep this one single player. -1
I have had the same thing happen on the peacekeeper units, in multiple games.
Thought I would add this. I am getting past mid game and my sov is now getting hit pretty regularly even with increased dodge. Capitar is researching the increased accuracy repeatable research. Seems they are repeating it quite a bit. He is still useful to thunderstrike into the rear lines and take out the ranged units.
[quote who="Thurman_Merman" reply="26" id="3369585"] Quoting kangon, reply 25 After Reading this thread I decided to try an assassin with my sov. I found a pretty nice sword early on 19 dmg and boosted crit percentage and damage. He more or less could solo any monster stack except dragons at about lvl 9. I completed a quest around lvl 10 that gave him a beserker sword and he went and killed the dragons on the map by himself( he had high fire resist through buff, shield and a
I had this happen in only one battle. It happened since 1.0. ogre crushed my mages is the back line. about 7 tiles away.

there are already several strategic spells that stop, slow down, divide, or damage enemy stacks that are in your territory heading to your cities.
research leatherworking and buy a leather helmet
the animations are well done as are all the graphics in this strategy game. The only thing ruining this game for "you" is you.
seems fine to me for a spell that has a casting time of 2. most battles are halfway done or completely done by the time it is ready
when humans play against each other there are many times bonuses or advantages given to one player to make the game, bet or whatever more competitive. Handicapping in golf. Spotting a friend a couple games out of 5 when playing pool to make it more challenging. giving points when betting on a football game. An AI can't compete with a human player in a game this complex. Giving bonuses to the ai at harder difficulties is not che
phazon is using a quote about stardock using steam as their distribution channel to reply to a drm issue, it is not the same issue. I know I don't need an always online connection to play FE: LH not sure why you do kamilis. I play in offline mode just fine.
I like the new traits. they do the job without any added confusion
not related to the wildlands but I have also had invisible goodie huts on my maps since .85
This also is happening in my game.
I haven't had a memory leak problem.
I prefer turn based and the current art style myself.
[quote who="DsRaider" reply="13" id="3345254"] I agree with the OP. Right now the game is all about getting powerful first strikes in. It's not all about the damage though. It's tons of little things that have made it so. Like starting closer, and starting with troops. The new initiative system has also allowed players to super buff damage easily using traits, and we have all this nice new abilities that allows us to cross the map in 1 turn like rush and berserk, or hit multiple
Wow, I disagree with so many of your assumptions about steam being the death of pc gaming that I won't bore you with them. Steam is the very best thing for small developers to come along in ages, IMHO. I have purchased no less than 5 games off steam in the last 6 months that I would not have been able to even find without steam. The latest being Sang-Froid by a small Canadian developer that is excellent. I doubt I would have been able to find or purchase this
Firefly, did steam steal your firstborn in the dead of night or something? You seem to have a rabid hate for them, and seem to feel everyone else should. I can't understand someone spending so much time and effort trying to justify not using Steam.
Someone posted a while back that if there are only 2 heroes in a stack it would be nice to have no exp split. if more than 2 heroes then split the exp between the all of them. That sounded like a pretty good option to me. That would keep heroes leveling a bit faster but not make them overpowered. As it is on a huge map with the monster dens set to max quantity and world difficulty set on expert it is tough to get more than a couple heroes leveled to their teens. And if you
I had this happen to me. I moved a unit out of the group then back in and it was fine after that. Happened only once in about 15 hours playing.
The spiders now will attack before casting web or beguile occasionally. That is a nice change.
I think the weapons are pretty well balanced as is. Blunt is very powerful in early game to wipe out a stack before they can counter(I lose units to those little guys with clubs all the time) and later it is good against armor. Bows are still almost overpowered. The archer is not getting hit back when he fires, and if you a want lower initiative penalty take the archer trait for your kingdom or empire. Initiative is also really easy to stack to get bowman
