I'm having the same, and I think I can explain. It is the same problem as before for me: on start-up the desktop is blank--no short cuts, fences, etc--even though fences is set correctly to start and not set to hide. Right-clicking on the desktop or executing explorer.exe causes the desktop to "appear." I had corrected this by running fences as a delayed task, but something in the latest windows update is interfering with this. I realize it's a minority problem

I am still having this problem; the only way I have gotten fences to work at all (short of right clicking the desktop or starting explorer.exe) is to force fences to start delayed. This isn't really a satisfactory solution, as everything else is up and running on my computer(s) and I have to wait for fences. This is a very frustrating situation. m

This is so frustrating. I've tried everything, but the only solution for me is right-clicking on the desktop or starting windows explorer. I'm not going to stop using the software because of this--yet--but it really is annoying. Windows 8.1 64 Fences 2.13. m

Quick hide is not enabled. I have tried everything I can think of: starting from registry; starting as task; starting as service; starting as start-up folder link. I have uninstalled---removing every registry r
