Is Notepad ++ a binary editor? Thanks
species8350
Am I right in thinking that authui.dll is a binary file. If I am right, then one would need a binary file editor to edit such a file. Thanks
GreenReaper. Thank you for the very detailed response. I'll try to get to grips with the information Best wishes S. Ps. I wonder why a transparent user image does not work?
Yes, I am referring to the 'user image' I do use the programmes, but I do like to know how things work You say 'we here are just users'. I find the responders very helpful. They do their best, no one can ask for more, and you have nothing to be sorry about. It may also be the case that a developer may read these posts, then one could get a more technical reply. In addition, some of the users may be technical. Best wishes S.
Could do
Thanks all I am not uninstalling it - but to know what would happen is important. At the moment, I am trying to find out how LogonStudio works. With all due respect, no one seems to know? The little image that appears by default across the logon screen ruins my picture - what's worse, I can't get rid of it. Thanks again S.
If I unistalled Logonstudio, would my custom logon screen remain.
Yes, I am running Vista No, I haven't unistalled LogonStudio - Just trying to find out if the login screen created is dependent upon keeping Logonstudio on the machine. No wincustomize folder. As a matter of interest, I deleted an image in logonstudio. It did not go to the Recycle Bin. What happened to it? I am not really sure how Logonstudio works. I created and saved an image, then applied it. But what actaully happens? Thanks S.
Forgot to mention. If Windows is picking up the logon screen from Pictures, then presumably unistalling LogonStudio would not effect the logon screen?
I don't have the Wincustomize folder. My default logons are in Stardock/DefaultLogons. Interestingly, the logon screen that I am using is not listed in this folder. It is in my Pictures folder. I think Windows must be picking it up from this folder What does WB mean. Thanks S.
Hi, If we delete LogonSudio would our logon screen revert to the default. Thanks S. Ps. I can't find the image that I created for the logon screen except in Pictures. I think that Windows must be loading it fron here? The small logon picture appears by magic, I can't find it anywhere?
Thank you Best wishes S.
Ref. Reposted since posted in wrong group Hi, I am very new to LogonStudio. I have an image that I would like to use as a Logon Screen.
