Update on my problem. A nice guy from support replied and I tried activating again and it work! Great support. Just want to add the entry to clear it up in case others browse the forum and decides that activation is too much of a hassle and proceed to pirate the game.
Update on my activating problem. A nice guy from support sent me a similar looking code (at least the alphabet part looked the same) and asked me to reactivate. I cut and pasted it and viola, successfully registered Dark Avatar. With trepidation, I used the same code to try to activate Gal Civ2 Dread Lords (non- expansion) and viola it also worked! I have a similar problem. I purchase GalCiv2 Gold online. I was provided with a single serial number via an email. When I tried activating, it tells me that the serial is not tied to my email account! I was like WTF?!? I am quite certain my account info is correct because StarDock also remembered my GalCiv (original) purchase! Had someone stole my just generated Serial by using a serial number generator????
