I disagree. When there is a Pantheon going on there is little activity in Skirmish. true. But over the weekend there were regular skirmish games starting. Skirmish games are more balanced because the matchmaking system only needs to match based on Rank. In Pantheon the ligh an dark split can seriously skew the match ups especialy since the bulk of the experienced players end up on one or the other side. Since you can not switch sides midway through a Pantheon, I bet a lot of people on

Sounds like a cross between Erebus and UB. Only big issue I see is that this could potentially further unbalance Pantheon because the Force of Darkness already has a runspeed advantage and this just adds to that.

Pantheon tends to match people on a first come first served basis so the pairings can be really random. Sometimes you get paired with a pro against 2 noobs and sometimes you get paired with a noob against 2 pros. If you get a bad team mate and don't want to pair up with them a second time you may have to wait 5 to 15 minutes before rejoining pantheon. Skirmish does a better job of making challenging matches. This tends to mean that the top player gets paired with the worst player and

I've always managed to get games in Pantheon but if this is detering people from getting into queue I agree it should be fixed ASAP.

Lately in Pantheon, I've played against a lot of Erebus using minion swarms to take down towers and harass players. I've tried the same tactic using Oak and Sedna and came to the conclusion that Erebus minions may be a bit too good. From a purely mathematical point of view, Oak and Erebus can do the same amount of dps with their minions. The problem is that Oak has to use Surge of Faith and be in close proximity of his minions to do so and Erebus doesn't. I think the Coven skill needs

There have been a couple of occations where I've had to explain to new rook players not to eat our own towers and stick to eating their summoned towers or the enemies towers. Looking at his pantheon record he does indeed seem to be a new player that has only recently started playing rook. So it is conceivable he didn't know better.

That is because the easiest way to raise your ladder rank is to play custom games. Out of the top 100 Ladder ranked players, 79 are also in the top 100 Custom Game Ranks. Only 10 of the top 100 Skirmish players are in the top 100 Ladder ranked players. While there is no cumulative rank for Pantheon matches we can infer that 11 of the top 100 Pantheon players are in the top 100 Ladder Ranked players.

The way I'd play it is to split up and keep the two outer flags capped and farm the adjacent creep lane. This forces the other team to split up or chase one of you thus letting the other cap the center flag. Once you get a few levels in and have a sufficient minion army. Either have the minions gang up on Regulus but send them in two waves so that an early stun will only catch one of the two mobs and a late stun would risk leaving Regulus dead. Or start attacking their defenses two structures

http://www.demigodthegame.com/opengames.asp tells you how many people are in queue for Pantheon and Skirmish. When the Pantheon is active there rarely are any skirmish games up. When Pantheon is not up, a fraction of the Pantheon players play Skirmish.
Are Yeti builds so bad that they offer no advantage at all? Or are there situations/build-item-configurations where they are effective?
The trouble with a Senna Full minion build is that it takes too long to ramp up. Playing Oak of Erebus full minion is effective starting at level 5. Full Minion Senna only starts getting good at 10 or 15. If a Yeti was equivalent to 1.5 or 2 nightcrawlers then they might be more interesting. One of the main problems with Senna a

I play in windowed mode. This allows me to check http://www.demigodthegame.com/opengames.asp while in queue. So I can see exactly how many people are in queue and for which sides and what games are being made. You can actually observe it making Pantheon games with 3 vs 1 + ai when the Pantheon Queues are not balanced. You can also observe that the minute there are 4 people in the skirmish queue it starts a game. To avoid getting into a 3 vs 1 + 2 ai situation I sometimes wait for anot

I think one of the problems with the current matchmaking system in Pantheon and Skirmish is that it doesn't wait long enough before forming games. It used to be that some people would have to wait 15 minutes or more before getting into a game which was obviously too long but now I think it doesn't wait long enough which results in lopsided games of various types. Currently for high ranking players in skirmish they can expect to be paired up with a really bad player versus two

I think Custom Rankings should stay in their own tab. By adding them to the over all ladder it dilutes the value of playing Pantheon and Skirmish. A lot of people don't bother playing Pantheon and Skirmish because they know it is easier to get your ladder rank up by playing Custom Games. If you do add Custom Rankings to the over all ranks then I think there should be a tab for cumulative Pantheon Ranking because there currently is no way to track that.

I prefer buying gear instead of priest with the first 1k. I get priest once I make 900 more gold. One of the reasons is that the heal doesn't amount to much when you have less than 2k hp. If you are going to get priest the only way to get over 2k hp at the start of the game is to get one of the HP favor items which I rarely do. I also find that players often under estimate your ability to dps or mitigate damage early game when you don't buy priest. For erebus I prefer getting scaled h
