Played a bit of rouge trader, then couldn't really afford the mini's as a youngster. Now however I'm throughly installed in the real world and I remembered just how much I wanted to play it as a kid, so I've got a couple of boxes of 'Nids. :) I've spent months making sure I know how best to make / paint / plan the army though. Best of luck to us all! :)
The US People well start buying smaller cars again be sure of that but when you travel 80 yo 120 miles one way to work it not going to matter much my round trip was 196 miles i was spending almost 500 USD a month and when you bring home only 1650 a month that hurts !! Nasty
Ouchy! Here in blighty that commute would be enough to make most people move! Especially if you live/work in a city, that would be a good 2 hours each way. And the fuel costs would be, as you point
prices have only increased about 150% in the last 4 years. so if the inflation of gas continues at this rate you are looking at about 14 years for this to happen. Even assuming the price were to actually continue to climb at this unnatural rate (which it wont) in 14 years every car on the road will get at least double the current gas milage if not more.In any case the price of oil is being manipulated by futures traders the actual price per gallon of fuel oil is really around 70 dollars
As a rather casual player I play infrequently due to RL commitments and haven't tried the metaverse thing. 1) I'm really looking forward to the espionage update. I'm hoping for it to become a real feature. I envisage something like this. Maybe the ability to train agents then, in the same way as ships, form teams of them. Then send the team out with objectives and a level of risk. You could have buildings and tech's for training and improving spies. Possible "objectives"<b
I'm running it on an Athlon XP1800+ with 768MB ram and a GF4200ti (64MB ram). I get occasional issues from my Nvidia driver, but other than that it run's fine. Just expect turns to take a touch longer than a faster rig! ;o)
I can imagine a number of edges the AI has over us poor carbons. *"Infinite" patience, the ability to micromanage each and every colony adjust every slider, re-evaluate the strategy every turn. *Cold calculations. It doesn't bare a grudge, if it is favourable for peace, it will make peace, if it is favourable for war, it will make war, it'll play the odd's better than all but the most experienced (or most intuitive) players. *No distractions. It won't go have a comfort break, (wash
Seismic Proto U-wave Detonator gun? ^^
Nova Seed? Stella Annihilation Device? Cosmic Shockwave Inducer?
hey Duh! That depends on how you define species. Numerous species are capable of interbreeding. Take cats: Both big cats for instance, Ligons and Tigors, and smaller cats, Bengal F1 and Savannah F1. Or horses: For instance, Zony, Zorse and Mule The two could be considered separate specicies of Homo Sapien and yet still be capable of reproduction. (A similar theory exists for breeding between Mankind and Neanderthals). Yea, ok I'm splitting hairs I kn
*Thinks of the space eels in MOO II* lol I always liked the space eels, I kept them as pets!
3 (sets) of games that do 3-D and have been playable spring to mind. Decent series. Ascendancy Homeworld series. Also rather than a cube, why not play the game on/in a 3-d surface/volume of a hypersphere. That is to say that the game area would appear as a sphere which wraps at the edges. Or, give the cat another canary, a more complex topography (can anyone say wormholes and spacial anomalies?) ^^ However doing even a "basic" cube and keeping the
2. Do I need the Dread Lords to play the Twilight of Arnor like I need Civ4 to play BtS?
My understanding is to play TA you need both the original game (Dread Lords) and the 1st expansion (Dark Avatar).
4. Can I play alone (with no AIs or human players)? And infinitively (with no victories allowed / till I get bored)?
I've not come across this, however playing with one opponent in the easyiest mode would
Loving the gold and black! :o) {edit} Oh! Oh! Oh! can you do me a darlek building in this scheme?!!!
When I say: "Result: Following turn all outposts display Intensive Farms, however not all receive additional food." I mean to say... "all outposts that were meant to be finishing farms". ;o)
Playing: TA Beta 2 as Torians. Situation: Was building Xeno Farms whilst researching Xeno Farm Construction II. Many were due to be completed in the same turn as Xeno II was discovered. Result: Following turn all outposts display Intensive Farms, however not all receive additional food. Further investigations: Removing bugged farms by decomission sets colony food to 0 (from 6) however colonies can grow (All colonies at 100% morale but continue to grow after morale dro
