If you're finding the Rook extremely overpowered, you probably haven't given the other characters enough of a chance. If he/it's just a little overpowered, then I'm inclined to agree. The strategies that are required for each character are quite different, but I don't find either of the other two assassins lacking in destructive ability when played right. It's already been noted that tower-eating skill is being made available earlier than it should (i.e. ST II available at lvl 3, even

At best, you'll see about 3.4GB of that 4 total using your OS. For gaming, it's almost guaranteed to NOT help. There are one or two exceptions, such as SupCom (large maps) and (I think) S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but they're far and few between. This game (Demigod) is showing no signs of excessive memory useage yet. More importantly, even if they have the space for it, not all motherboards play nicely with four sticks of memory in their slots, so I can't see it being worth your effort and money right no

If you look at his backstory, he used to have wings, so it's legitimate, plot-wise. And he's woefully poor on area-attacks, so he needs *something* to fall back on. If you look at the cooldown time on the move, it's clearly intended to create breathing space so he can retreat, rather than actually serve as a practical offensive weapon. That said, maybe have him use his wings to jump up and just leave a bunch of bombs/mines behind that explode before he lands again? Might fit his image

+1 The lack of mini-map makes another issue more prominent - the lack of distinguishing features between the allied and enemy demigods. I don't mind zooming out quickly to make a strategic opinion on the state of the war, but having to manually mouseover each demigod to verify whether they're on my side on not... PITA. A very simple minimap, with color-coded blips for demigods and faded blips for troops would do a world of good in some situations.

Stop doing it :) Seriously, if it's been good for awhile now in other games, that's probably not the issue. But if you want to make sure, return the card to stock clocks, and try playing the game then. If your card is pre-overclocked from the factory, use whatever overclocking program you use to bring the card down to 513Mhz on the core, and 1600Mhz on the memory (iirc).

Just tried it out, and confirmed the level descrepancy. Structural Transfer I - available immediately. ST II - available lvl 3 ST III - available lvl 5 ST IV - available lvl 10. Probably a quick fix, and a needed one. Never really tried the skill before, but that skill really is a deadly one if you use it right!

Seconded. I've had this happen while controlling all three demigods. The mines take no damage, but seem to have priority as the next target unless you constantly override. Allies will also shoot at the mines, without effect.
However, the overall performance was poor, with framerates typically ranging from 4 to 6 fps, dropping even lower toward the end of the game as the map filled with units.
What kind of graphics adaptor do you have? Mobile chipset integrated graphics are almost universally poor, to be frank. In fact, most won't run games at all, since they're completely unable to carry out certain functions. If your laptop doesn't have a discre

Herewego. Got me a quick imageshack account. http://img49.imageshack.us/my.php?image=taskmanagerdemigodbeta1nd1.jpg As can be seen, basically zero activity on cores 1 thru 3 (I had some other programs running in the background). Again, I'm well aware this is beta, but it's the almost complete absence of activity on the other three cores that got my attention. Even SupCom's engine doesn't get anywhere near even-balance, but the attempt is certainly visible. This game right now.

To start, first impressions of the game are excellent. Almost certainly a little balancing needed, and one or two momentary pauses while playing, but otherwise rock solid for all three beta characters. I realize that this is still in beta, but after playing through a few rounds, I took a look at my task manager to see what kind of demands are being made on my system. To my surprise, my first core is pegged at a pretty solid 90-ish percent, while the other three are basically doing squa
