I Did Buy the game at retail, and it was valid when i installed the game. I tried contacting sales@stardock.com but they didn't give me a serial in the email. I used the same serial from the installation to try and Activate the 'stardock product' but it wouldn't activate and yes the serial i typed in was correct.

You can name ships anthing really. the Anti Korx thing is actually a good name. You can name ships on what they look like. i name a trade ship a 'king Scorpion' coz it looked like a scorpion. you can also name them on what they do. i name a ship a Bombardment Frigate Because it was packed with weapons. If you go to the library and search Alantians you will come across my ships that i uploaded, download them. they should give you some idea as to what you going to name y

Have edited the game and remove an application? this often will shut any game down. if you didn't it mean your computer might be overheating and closing program that require alot of CPU Power to run. The harder your computer runs the hotter it will get. if that's not the case it mean you have a section of software that is not compatible with GalCiv2 thus forcing it to shut down the application. if not that then i hope you read the part in the instuction booklet that sa

Red Raven here... What it means is that it once in a while the tecnological advancment you are working on will be completed ahead of time. Example, your researching 'space weapons' and it's got 5 week till it's completed, creativity has a 1/20 chance of completing that for you in the next turn

Listen, I Red Raven Leader Of the Pharohs have a trick for you to use. I use no trade routes and earn a fair amount, keep your taxs just above 50% approval that way your public become happy and start to... well you get the picture. your population will grow and will it does build market tile improvments to increace your income. hope this helps, keep in mind that i make trade with the minor races (they dont complain), it really helps if you have an alliance with a buyer.
