I'm having a devil of a time. I want to change the background color of selected items in unfocused windows. I've found where one sets the background highlight color for focused items. Go to Miscellaneous --> Colors, then look under the Selections attribute. There's one called "Background - Highlighted". This is a light blue color (which is fine).
