On the items, you don't drop items, you drop consumables like a health potion or energy scroll, I don't think it even removes one from your inventory.

Go the above post. But on the other topic: You guys asked me similar things between starcraft and demigod, not rts's and demigod: Demigod uses a click and point control scheme, where you can select multiple units. (You can drag a multi selection box). The mechanics I talk about are the 'Health' 'attack damage' 'Mana' these are slightly rpg, but demigod is like an rpg, and not in fps's. The camera is from top down, seeing massive swaths of the battle field, not like fps's where

On the mines, it was in PAX so thats where they get that from.... There are 4 activate-able abilities a demigod, and each demigod only has 4 activate-able abilities, the rest are passives. Torchbearer is unique in the fact that he has an ability which allows you to use a diffrent set of abilities temporarily. If you read my PAX report you'll see Regulus/rook only have 4 active abilities each... and torch bearer has 8.

Mhm exactly I saw no combos with the skills I used, maybe at best rooks towers and the upgrade that gives him a shoulder tower. Again, why I plan to be in the beta.

Point to click to control things, The camera, the way the mechanics work, the way the game's engine is made. What about demigod and unreal tournament? There are teams... any thing else?

People were saying demigod is NOT dota they even made a journal about it. But then they say now that they are going to take one of the major aspects of DotA (Need items to win, and thats basically all that matters) and put it in to demigod, the one thing I guess is diffrent is the number of characters... I need to blow off some steam... (Not because of demigod, I'm just venting through it I realized.)

Good point wasn't thinking, then what are the designers doing? is what I meant.
Demigod, by contrast, doesn't have a limit on the # of items we can have and equipment and items are going to be a crucial element to the game to provide lots of different strategies in a given situation.
This is strange as I originally heard you guys somewhat using dota, not making a clone. But in dota items are paramount! Required to win even. And from what I heard at PAX you guys are going to have about 50 items... which compared to dota's almost 100? (P.S. St

I agree completely, which is why I plan on being in the beta. So hopefully they make more of impact there, I can understand them having few demigods for art reasons, but the spells leave much to be desired on the 'uniqueness' side.

Yea the fog was diffrent between the waterfall level and the lava level too.

First let me add, that you missed this edit:
(Also I understand the game Isn't fineshed yet, which is why I plan on being in the beta, to help make demigod the best game yet)
As I realized that I was coming off as if I was judging the game prematurely. I really do like the game, and intend to keep my pre-order. In fact playing the game probably made me keep it, if I had heard this info from another source I might have considered otherwise. But I'm an argumentative

Also note the fact a dev I asked had been reading it and said it would be a big game play change? Anyways the stuns aren't that long, and for Regulus it's like an ult. Set up like a wall of 5, kite, eat for breakfast with allies.
