Well, run-time errors are fairly generic. It's practically the computer's way of saying "I don't know what just happened, but I'm fucked. Sorry!". The run in Sins seems to point to a memory issue, but then I had the error happen every single time I tried to move to GalaxyForge maps in the new game selection. The most infuriating part is that run-time errors kill the entire process, not giving things like crash-dumps a chance to form, so it makes even a little more frus

Where exactly are you getting the error? Does it happen sporadically during gameplay, or in one very repeatable incident?

Holy crap.. it's the map I made causing the error. I tried a number of things. Windowed, different graphical settings. Nothing. Then I just took the map out of the galaxy forge folder. Wham. Error gone. Now I wonder what I should do.. submit the map to the devs?? Thoughts?

Hi all. I've been getting this exact same error, and always in the exact same place. It happens right as I attempt to switch to galaxy forge maps when trying to start a new game. Messing with the graphical settings didn't help, so anymore ideas? Thanks in advance!

Here's the debug.err. EDIT: oh, and before I forget, the crashing is most unusual.. it crashes only on certain races.. I haven't investigated them all, but I can play as human or korx.. but not drath, which produced this error. Weird, huh? I'm gonna try reinstalling in the meantime. Awww, I figured since asteroid miners and survey ships could find their respective targets automatically, a colony ship could too... Oh well. I guess I'll just have to manage those bloody colonists, instead of micro-managing my fledgling colonies.

Would it be possible for me to code a mod that would add an automated feature to a colony vessel, one that would make the colony ship head for the nearest colonizable world, with techs considered? I'd like to have this, as it's very annoying for me to go fishing for my first worlds in the more gigantic maps. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
