So three weeks late I finally got my system back together and most of my applications re-installed. I had to reinstall Windows XP Home as it got corrupted. Both my 8800GTX card and one stick of RAM went bad at the same time. Strange coincidence . . . . I just installed all the Stardock software and I'm about to fire up TA to see how it runs with new memory and a new 8800GTS(G92)card. Crosses fingers . . . . .
Dec. 30, 2007 Game crashed while playing the Terran race. It will no longer load a saved game or start a new game. It causes graphics chaos and generates a sort of buzz through the sound device. After a crash it was difficult to reboot to Windows XP Home. I had to try getting into Windows 5 times before it would load. I'm going to try uninstalling and re-installing to see if that helps. Might be a corrupted file. My system consists of an Intel e6600 @ 3.3GHz, 8800GTX (driver: 6.14.11.692
I have been playing GalCiv2 and Dark Avatar for several weeks and can not figure out all of the factors which positively and negatively effect tax income of a colony. I believe that the type of government has an effect, approval rating, population, how many and type of factories, manufacturing capital, economic starbases and modules, . . . Are there others and which way would they effect the income. I just noticed that in my current game I am waaaaaay ahead in tech
