The bonuses are immediately known when you discover a planet. You need to do an exploration in order to find artifacts. The infocard will show a description and icon for each.

Does the explore REALLY do anything? Absolutely There are a number of useful artifacts waiting to be discovered. You are taking a risk, but it could pay off!
Thanks for the comments guys! We definitely want to leave the fleet composition in the hands of the player. It has been important to us from the very start that the player decides what strategy he/she wants to take. Even at a higher level (combat-trade-research-diplomacy). We are going to need your help understanding the core of your concern here. Does it lie in the feeling that there are only two major strategies - building primarily capital sh
Pirates should take more advantage of these trade lanes (you'd figure that would be what pirates do). I like this idea - and its implementation around the star. Will check it out.
Oh, does your free flagship also come with a few extra levels of experience??? It certainly does!
'any star to any star' has been implemented.
Pimproid Hahaha...awesome, that is going to stick.
Not just because you mass produce them early on and fly around with your omega fleet of doom laying waste to anything non-capital ship. Hi Nova, with the new capital ship research topics it is unlikely that you'll be able to mass produce. You will be able to pick your flagship from the get-go but after that you're going to need big bucks to sustain a large number of capitals.
There have also been previews in PC Gamer and Games for Windows, with many more to come. You should hearing about SINS non-stop as we approach release. I encourage you to read the independent reviews. If you want a say in how the game is made, now is the time to help us out, otherwise we'll see you after February. Cheers!
Anthem was a cute little book Haven't read We the Living yet.
The Fountainhead is a good read as well.
I am fine with however Ironclad wants to deal with this issue. Don't hear this everyday!
Hi Rossy, Thanks for your feedback I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. The combat movement has a been a point of discussion for a while and we have been brainstorming ideas that can add additional life. Our major obstacle is the fact that ships will always find the optimal position for attack. Movement away from this location is suboptimal. We also don't want people getting frustrated with ships moving o
Can anyone guess what the Vasari ship is in the first picture?
P5y, Great work! This is the kind of thing we're looking for
Also, you DO fight with infantry because they are so flexible, I think that light frigates should be upgradeable during the game, allowing them to be useful throughout. There are several research topics for this It was also important to us that these ships had a function the entire game.
Now, why not apply that same inginuity to the research aspect of the game. Why not make a base stock of research, and some others random, ie: you will have better shield in this game etc. Thanks Karok! Replayability is very important to us. We discussed the possibility of a 'experimental research' topic at the top of the tree.
Thanks for your feedback Glenn. These details are helpful in BETA. You are right, the difference between easy and normal is minimal at the momment, as the AI is still being refined. Do you mind if I ask what you were spending your money on in your second game? Also, how were your resources and how many planets did you have when the large force of(75/10/10) phased in? What kind of features other than combat, exploration, colonization, etc would you like to see in the game? Just so I know where yo
1) make a slight variation in between the coordinated jumps of a group jump (like in starwars, where the jumps are closely grouped, but not simultaneous). this makes jumps more cinematic, and entrances much cooler I agree, that would look cool. We'll look into the gameplay and technical feasibility.
There has been a research topic proposed that may capture an element of this
Hi ArakisKha, I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. The other player is preventing your colonization with excessive culture. The culture 'flip' issue has been tweaked to give you to time to prepare with your own culture structures.
Yeah, i came across this a few times actually. Looks pretty decent.
Im just thinking that if there are rogue comets or asteroids Hmm. I like this idea GalacticaCAG. I feel random elements like this can add a lot of flavor to the environment. The challenge is to make them meaningful without favoring the 'lucky' player too much.
Will look into this! Thanks guys.
Thanks Gauntlet03, Ron 1)We'll look into this one. We don't want this happening 2)We do optimize this. I'll double check the behaviour. Good observations!
