In the final version is there going to be easy/med/hard options that relate to how much resources are available?
I have a good Idea I think... Lets say a basic asteroid produces at a rate of 10... have this eventually run down to say 5, but it stops there and is inifinte... This way you have an infinite resource collection, but your economy does peak, decline, and then stabilize, it would make the refinery more useful, and reduce the spamming a bit, but without dropping the infinite potential.
This could help speed up the start of a game buy giving us more resources to start
Maybe resources could slowly run out.
When i have multiple battles going on I will usually monitor them in the empire tree. When ships are heavily damaged and are disappearing, i noticed sometimes instead of being destroyed they are jumping away. I think it would be good to have the icon in the empire tree change for a second or two to a different icon that would display if the ship got destroyed or jumped out, before disappearing completely.
BTW, i had a dream about sins last night... What sin did you have a dream about
After losing a planet to the AI, I was thinking how hard and depressing it can be to come back after losing a colony or two. What do you think about not losing fleet supply immediatly after losing a colony. There would be a grace period to represent your colony selling war bonds and trying that much harder to get that colony back? Or even taking it a little further, you would get a slight increase for a small period of time to represent your colonists working that
why must we all play the same way?
Imho capships should either get some upkeep cost, or an increase in building costs, supply costs. A soft limit is much better then the current (research) hard limit. I totally agree.
I am not for a cap on any ship type. That will just force me to play the same way evey time. Give me my ship points and let me spend them how i want....let me build all the same type or whatever.
Personally, I prefer having the numbers. My time sense is... rough, at best. Its a flaw, I will admit. same... same here, Me four! Also, when i jump into a gravity well with a fleet, and pick up a few more units I have to remember every time to click to have them jump at the same time. Is there an option t
how about as you research the ability to use more cap ships the number of ships per lvl goes up until the last research which then becomes unlimited. I like that idea, or making cap ships cost more for each additional one you add to your fleet (to represent an increase in technology for each ship you build)
Look, I'm as anxious as anyone else to get my hands on a new faction, as well as other features, but when it comes down to it, I'd rather have a good game that WORKS well, than to pressure them endlessly to field another faction just to appease us. They'll probably do it sooner or later, but let them test the heck out of what game we have. It will all come in due time. <IMG onload="ImageResizer.createOn(this);" src="http://images.stardock.com/sd_co
i need a meter or something to tell me when its safe to colonize so it doesn't immediately flip.
I purchased through stardock and I feel I underpaid. GCII is worth twice as much.

i usually stick with just the missle weapons. I get up to photon and quantum torpedos before anybody and load as many as i can on my ships. It's easier to get up to the awesome black hole weapon that way, i think.
I think everyone was traveling via stargates before hyperdrive so, as mentioned above, they were all aware of each other
