FORGET ABOUT WHAT I SAID...I tried messing with registry and stuff..and I didn't do the simplest thing there was to do: Right click on taskbar and see the properties of the start menu..well now it's ok. Problem solved

I can't edit anymore :s so anyway..the registry key name is: xp_shellstate.reg http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_opensaveorder.htm I got that from there. So can anyone help me pls?
For some strange reason..my desktop files would sort by type with every reboot. I switched auto arrange off and rebooted and they'd still change order. So I found a registry entry (I still have it), which locks the desktop items..and it worked. But the startmenu became normal once again..and it's not nice or practical this way. Here's my system information: WindowBlinds 5.0 System Information Report: STATUS : WB+ SRV+ HLP+ UI+ TRAY+ WindowBlinds is installed correctly
