Fail to put 20c in the parking meter and you don't get a 20c fine. Things just don't work that way....never have, never will. Again, as I also said before....typical penalties for IP theft still relate to pre-ease-of-Internet-crime days when the type of 'theft' was more business than individual... so the penalties would relate to commercial infringement more so than some backyard twit. Ugh, I can't believe I actually read this whole thread... [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e] Seriously. There is no "justice" in this sentence. Period. Anybody who says that this woman "deserves" this ruling is an idiot. (sorry, Jafo) This is not a discussion about murder, or about whether or not this woman is actually guilty or not guilty. The problem is that a court cannot rule based on an alleged crime. There is no way to prove that this woman distributed any of the songs that sh

Yes, I agree with you in that respect, SirBedwyr. Just read a little differently in your first post. :P I also want the high tech interfaces we see in movies like Minority Report and Iron Man... but I don't think Stardock is capable of that. Not because they're bad programmers, but because windows simply wouldn't allow it. No... that would require the building of a new OS entirely. One that Microsoft and Apple couldn't possibly build in their current state of mind. To

I'm not an expert in any of this stuff. Hell, I've only been using Windowblinds and Skin Studio for a little over a year. And I haven't made anything amazing with them, either. But there are some things I've noticed. Like how Windowblinds has some problems with certain programs, which makes dark skins (a very popular choice) incompatible with certain programs. Like Photoshop. I don't agree with SirBedwyr who says it should be entirely about functi
You mean you can't make it in a week??!! I could, some folks do i suppose, more like a production line than anything, but doesn't bode well for originality or quality imo. I can't work like that myself, too much of a massive compulsive obsessive type. Almost every single image and image state is zoomed to X3200 dozens of times before I might be finally happy with it, manipulating every shape's vector points

I mean this out of the greatest respect.... But I don't like the red on the second window at all. It clashes with the blue at the bottom. The same goes for the button with that particular gradient on it. [e digicons]X|[/e] It's mostly personal preference. But I think the red takes a lot away from the design. The rest looks great though. Don't hate me..... [e digicons]

You know, with regards to "his" Toxic skin... it actually has quite a bit of it that isn't part of Venom at all. Like that taskbar. Those open/close buttons and scrollbars, along with most of the start menu look familiar though. I, and I doubt John would have much of a problem with that skin if he asked to create a "similar to Venom" skin from the beginning and changed more about it. What gets me is the guy's arrogance... Aha! That window actually looks pretty cool. Especially the transparent text background. Adds that finishing touch. Awesome as always. [e digicons][/e] Considering your previous work speed, I expect this finished in about 12 hours. With two other mockups being posted. And a hidden blind that you never announced being released as well. [e digicons];P[/e]
I hate that too. suggestion; get a bigger monitor, it helps. Sorry gmc2, not following this, I have a 24 inch monitor and the side and bottom window frames are off screen, as they should be, when a window is maxed.
I think he means "buy a larger monitor so you don't HAVE to view any maximized windows". ;) But I agree most of the borders should not be visible. So yeah, I've been following this whole thing since it started and I support John entirely. I'm the one who sent messages to the groups MrGrim was in and those group founders on dA took it upon themselves to remove him. Well, most of them. One of them decided to send me a note back, he was friends with MrGrim. Okay, that's cool. He said he would try to discuss it with him and he would get back to me. Thinking nothing more of it, I didn't respond. Today, I had a note in my PM box on De

I wish there was a program that allowed me to COMPLETELY alter the appearance of Windows. Don't get me wrong, I love WindowBlinds. But some things just aren't possible with it. And that... bugs me a bit. I'm sure turning windows into an amazing holographic interface like the kinds seen in Iron Man would take a few extra registry hacks... [e digicons][/e]

It amazes me that every single post in this thread (except for two) are nothing but diatribe and hyperbole. So you don't care about this dude's home office? Good for you. Is it worth making a catty comment? I don't think so. And what's the point in even responding to the haters, OP? Having a "if you met me in real life, I'd kick your ass" argument is hardly a mature thing to do on the internet. :p
