Alrighty, I seem to have "fixed" the problem with the buttons being stretched out of frame vertically. But they're still off by a few pixels horizontally. I know nothing about what it takes to actually code Skin Studio but might I suggest for a future update that a "position" tab is added to the shutdown button menus? Almost exactly like the cloze/minimize/etc buttons for the windows? It seems like it could really help fix problems like this: [IMG

Hello there, everybody. Ben having some issues lately. Actually, it's always been like this for me. First of all, I can't seem to change the font for each side of the start menu independantly. The option is there, and I changed them... but all that changes is the color. The only way I can change start menu font is if I change all of the font options (except for color) to the exact same thing. Including the right side (places) the left side programs or whatever, and the

I know nothing about ATI cards but I know the nVidia card in my laptop has it's own control panel. Basically, a program that allows me to fine-tune the various 3D and resolution settings. The low Experience Score could just be because it's an older card. In which case, there probably isn't much you can do to improve it. I have a pretty good card though, it plays Fallout 3 at relatively high settings with a stable framerate. And sometimes, I also h

Yikes, sorry for bumping a 4 month old thread... Great tutorials, Mirsguy and Void! :D I did have a simple question though. While these tutorials work great for small start buttons that are contained within the height of the taskbar, "orb"-like buttons seem to be a bit more complicated, simply because of the "glow" section that sticks out. Couldn't find a tutorial for that kind of start button. It would be great if there were some kind o

Hah. Thanks. I haven't checked this in a while. Been working on a different skin than the one I posted above. It's a light one so the swoosh doesn't really matter much. I'll remove it at some point. Just because it's ugly in it's own right.

Alrighty, I just upgraded to Skin Studio 7 from Skin Studio 6. Obviously the layout is a little different and I can now make skins for Win7... but are there any other updates I should know about? I've yet to explore the entire thing. I was having some problems with fonts and margins in 6 that are hopefully resolved in the latest version. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum as well. There seem to be multiple categories it would fit under. :p

Alrighty, here's another question. (sorry about t double post) I'm working on the Start Menu popup menus. I have an image made up that I rather like. Only problem is that there is a strange white border around it. Makes it very ugly. an image is included which should be enough to clearly see my problem. Once again, help is GREATLY appreciated.
and it blows. wish I had waited for windows7.
Amen to that. As you can see, it really muddies up my skin. I guess I'll just have to restore those parts to the default or similar and live with it. Oh! Slightly off topic here... but would anyone happen to know why it refuses to keep my wallpaper when I shut off my laptop? It's fine while I'm on there but when I log off or shut down and come back to

I believe most of this is explained well enough in the image provided. I'm trying to figure out how to edit a couple parts of the Vista explorer and can't seem to figure out how or if it's even possible. If it matters, I'm using Skin Studio 7 Professional, and I'm running Vista Home Premium x64 I'd like to change the grab bars to small dark grey or red to match the rest of the skin (so far) and I want to be rid of that blue wisp entirely. Preferably being able to replace it wi
