Need Definitions in New Users WinCustomize Forums

Hello to all. I really need some help. I was wondering if there was any where on this site that explains what all the stuff is and how to use it. I did customize my cursor but that is a far as I got. What is a skin, docks, windowblinds, etc.? I REALLY want to do all this but I need some help.! i like to do stuff on my computer but I am not very literate with it either. I would appreciate ANY help. Thanks
