does anyone know what i am talking about?

i was wondering if it is possible to create something like a notepad. you can just write stuff in there and you dont have to worry about saving it, it will always be there. I hate to creat a file for everything i write down. There is such thing in google desktop so i was wondering if there is a docklet serve that purpose thanks
