i remember some time ago, most of us wb skinners worked out that the magic number for the startmenu logoffpanelbottom height was 50 and the text in the searchbox didnt disappear in vista anyway, not sure about windows 7. im not sure if thats what you were asking about.... no matter if you veer away from my tut, its not the only advice about skinning sk, you probably get better advice from xiandi, she's more cluey at sk than me, im more paint than brains hahaha.

when i click start and put my mouse over the all programs arrow i get a blue background that i dont want there, i found that i can perhaps change that in windows display options, but no go. anyone know how to change it? would be much appreciated.

running trial versions of windowblinds and skin studio, having a great time creating, but have a problem with the shutdown dialog buttons, i can edit them and ive got them how i want them, but when they are used with the backgroundshutdown dialog they dont seem to go together, what i mean is, i cant get the transparency i require behind the buttons, ive tried the bright pink for invisibility around the buttons, no go, and ive tried the transparency grey and white checkers and saved as png ect,

skin studio insists that my startpanel logoff buttons are not there, now they are there in png and bmp files in my skin, i have fixed the problem once, by reinstalling the buttons but now the problem is back, ive tried revalidating also, thats worked once.......not sure what to do, any ideas.......?

hi everyone, im new at skinning window blinds, but not a stranger to skinning. my first question is, for the template, do i use another skin and skin over it? or do i use the template in skinstudio? my second question is, with tga files, for some reason, i was skinning along fine over another skin (completly different) then the start button would not change, i tried to change the design of the tga file, ive done everything and to no avail, also having problems with the seethrough parts of the s
