I may in the minority, but here goes: I really like the size of the Titans, but I wish they were even BIGGER. Ever seen the size of Titans in EVE online? I would LOVE to have something that huge in my fleet. Right now the Titans feel "appropriately large" but oh how I wish they were "ridiculously" large! [e digicons][/e]

Weird little bug here. Wondering if I'm alone, and if not - is there a fix. My cursor doesn't always "update" What I mean is that I'll, say, select an army and hover over an enemy. The cursor will change to the crossed swords as it should. But then I choose not to attack. But the cursor never changes. I can go select a city. Open a menu. Even hit Escape. It's still the crossed swords. At *some* point it does change to something else. But I can't pinpoint wh
Will IconPackager allow me to manage individual program icons (Windows 7)? I tend to use a highly transparent taskbar and very minimalist icons. I have light and dark versions of those icons which I would like to be able to quickly swap out based on whether my wallpaper (which I change a lot) is light or dark. Does that make sense? So will IconPackager allow me to at the push of a button change all those icons? Or if it doesn't is there anther utility that will?
It still has so much potential. But there are elements from performance to some inherent design choices that just need more work. I had to vote for "disappointed" though I think given more time I'll come to enjoy it more. It feels like it was pushed to make a date, which strikes me as odd coming from a small, privately-owned developer. You'd think they'd have more freedom to set their own timetables.
@ DANMAN Hmmm. Those are the only files within the mod itself. Should I be ignoring Kcissem's instructions to copy the contents of GameInfo and Textures from the program directory to the mod directory? (Sorry I don't know that much about how the mod works)
Does it work for you with 1.05? Because it just kept freezing and generating a minidump for me when I would enable it.
Is there a mod that just adds more skybox choices? Especially the deep space skybox. The only one I have ever seen is that blue nebula cloud one. Are there any others?
Given the longer than originally expected development time for 1.04, I would think the that original list of 'tweaks' is now outdated and possibly expanded....
Agreed.
I would also agree. I think an "invasion" option is a tactical item that is sorely missing. Look at it this way, bombarding a planet and destroying ALL of their infrastructure is the fastest and dirtiest way to do things. It also involves a lot of reconstruction costs. Training an invasion force takes more prep time, is more expensive upfront, and takes time to implement. It's a lot easier to just bow up a city rather than send in the ground troops. And yet, I think we should have the option to
7900 GTX on Vista 32-bit here. Getting the random freezes with the same error message and some weird sound issues. The video freezes occur sometimes 15-30 minutes apart...sometimes I'll get two or three right after another though. Also running the latest video drivers form Nvidia (not Beta drivers though). Just updated them tonight. The sound thing only seems to occur when I set ANY of the graphics settings to Highest. It will be fine, then I'll get this fuzzy, digital distortion which goes away

What tech speed do you prefer to play at? I've been playing normal, but I think I might slow it down. I just don't like the fact that you can fully perfect your laser design in one year's time. I rather prefer thinking that the galaxy is BIG and complicated and even advanced technologies take time to research. Granted the tech tree is huge, but there are times where I still feel like I'm always racing through it. Any thoughts?
I've been in alliances with races, but what is the purpose, other than they're very friendly? Can I ask them to go to war with common enemies with me? I know I can always ask a civ to attack someone, but it all seems to depend on their own relations. In other words, if I'm allied with civ A and I want to eradicate civ B, but civ A and B are neutral or higher toward each other (but not allied with each other), I can't get my alliance partner to help. It's not even an option to attack them in nego
