Am I the only person who dose not really care about this new game. Maybe that will change once some actual info is released.
About bloody time, however I might have messed it but did the patch fix that massive loading time bug... actually I might as well go check the “official” relic forum that’s actually a fan created and run forum.
Last year in my networking classes I was wondering why the teacher was going Cisco this and Cisco that and I see why now. They don’t actually give a dam so they need other people to. While I have never actually looked at the technical reason for having 64-bit and am happy with my 32-bit vista stardock adding support for both is good.
I remember one of the devs (well I think they were) saying something about needing a 1.99 version 2 because of all the stuff we have found so I dont expect them to keep the October date.
If you feel Entrenchment doesn't warrant your dollars, don't buy it. That would require a certain degree of self control which doesn't seem to be very common anymore.
I have to agree with that *is wondering how many dolls (which have apparently been saying “buy me”) my Nan has bought in the past 3 days I have been at my dads*
Same here all other sounds work except Spore when it’s not set to use 4 speakers in its sound settings when I only have 2 What sound card do you have? All I can get about mine is that it’s from realtek and says “High Definition Audio Device” in the device manager. As for getting drivers try the update drivers button on the device properties or Google the name of the sound card.
Dose the sound not work at all or will it start working after quitting the game, playing about with the actual windows volume controls and then starting the game up again? If its the second one do you have a Toshiba Laptop because I have the same problem and it seems to be driver related. edit: my problam seems to be random enough that I have had my laptop for 6 months and had no sound problams untill a month ago.
Well the last update for my sound drivers was back at the start of this year but no idea how often they are normally updated. I have changed some sound use hardware from false to true but probally wont know if it has actually worked for a while are the problam is compleatly random and only when i start the game. Thanks
I got the game a few days ago and I am having the same problem I had with Spore where the sound would not always work. It seems complete random the sound works fine during the opening stuff but once it gets to the main menu it stops working. I fixed it in spore by changing its sound settings to use 4 speakers when my laptop only has 2 but there is no option for that in Sins so all I can do is restart the game and hope it works. It might be because I bought and downloaded it on Impulse but try going to the "my desktop" tab and see if its there.
I when I reinstalled GC2 a few days ago due to messing it up from modding I a few problams installing it and spend about 6 hours on it (why dose it have to be +1gb in size) and one of them that did not actually seem to affect anything is that once GC2 DL installed a .txt file came up saying it could not activate because its regestered to another e-mail (maybe because I changed my e-mail when i started playing againg this year) but that did not actually stop me playing the game
I have never really though about this before but now that this came up I think adding this would work
One interesting idea that came up during beta (when every ship in existance had a big maintainance cost assossiated with it) was decrease ship maintainance to like 1bc (as an example) when they are in orbit of a planet, but increase it when they were outside of orbit. That would probably be as close as Stardock would get to
If I had the cash I would start buying shares in games companies like EA, Who cares if they have dropped 40 odd percent in the last month in a year or so chances are they will have risen over the past value giving a profit. PS: when I first saw the name of the topic I though it was about the building in GC2 then I saw where it was.
Are you sure you cant do it in paint as i am sure i managed to get something transparant for another game.
you can read the stuff you see at the start and end of missions useing the secenrio editor or cheat your way though the campaings ctr+u for the map then select a ship/planet of the race who needs to be wiped out and ctr+w
I think its an older version of IE as I am home now and its back to normal. The background of the medels were white
Is it just that i am useing a computer at my college or have the medel graphics changed?
Carl Aylward is correct: the fleet assist modules are priority targets.
*blink* someone actually paid attention to something I said.. That’s a first most other message boards I am on people go a few pages before someone gives the same answer and is listened to but maybe that’s because I normally use the name “ladybug” Newbyl that may be because I have not actually played a "low tech" start in ages
I kind of guessed I could change my system when I changed a custom race to use the Sol system but was not sure what else to change but I will have a look at that. Thanks
In DA you could ARC a stock race to have a different super ability so you'll see plenty of 'stock races' on the MV...even though they aren't really. In TA you can still ARC the super ability, but the tech tree cannot be touched w/o a cheat flag. This makes custom races more valuable now along with less racial abilities (or even penalties now).
If I am getting this right you can mod the super abili
Your targeting priority if probably off because fleet abilities affect it, not sure by how much but i think its enough that 2 of them with any weapon puts it to the top of the list. Its why my command ship has the abilities, massive amount of defence AND weapons, it should push it to the top of the priority list and with my First Strike ability it should be able to survive any returning fire. And I have to agree early game just one type but late game huge hulls filled with weapons cos
(Main Battle Fleet) 1 Command ship: huge hull one or two weapons, massive defence, fleet abilities (speed & attack) 2 Battleships: (killer class) Huge, massive amounts of weapons, little defence (The rest is filled with these depending on what I feel like/ situation demands) Escort: Medium hull, slightly more weapons then defence Heavy Fighter: Small Hull, weapons only (Support fleet) Cruiser: large hull, split weapons/defence <
I thought that only deleted races created with the one selected?
Dose this include actually editing the race files? From your example it seems so as I don’t see the -10 mil production.(edit: Never mind seen that you are using the DA version of them) But going by the GC story shouldn’t you really allow a speed bonus for the Dred Lords (+2, super tech in everything) and Terran (+1, inventor of modern hyper drive)
