Agreed, a lot of times later on in the game I send a constructor to a starbase and realize I've missed that last two econ developments for the last 30 turns or so.

I think your grasping because your pulling from a different genre all together. I didn't say the Dread Lords are exactly like the Ur-Quan, I'm meerly tring to point out that if one were to merge the stories of the percursers, the Ur-Quan, and the Kor-Ah you would get almost exactly the Gal-Civ II story, or rather the bare-bones story before the flourishes were added. I agree with Teancum and Citizen Wraithmaster. I think both of these ideas would work well. However for the first idea just buying a new module would have to cost a WHOLE lot more than it does now! Besides the original 200bc or 400bc you have to add the cost and time of a constructor. I like the Teancum's idea a lot also. Although for that they would have to up the cost and size a constructor module to make that work out. So that's just my idea, I hope someone else can improve on what I think ar

Ok so I'm pretty new to this game, and it's hard for me to get my civ off the ground when I get bombarded with "heavy fighters" at the begining of the game. Could anyone tell me what the prereqs are for the heavy fighter? as of now I have to overload them with defenders which takes up WAY too much of my supplies and effort.

well for instance SC:II created the term Precurser and the idea of, also I forget where I read it but somewhere they talk about the Dread Lords enslaving a world with a red force field. Yeah that's STRAIGHT from SC:II Also the story of the Dread Lords and the Arnor is pretty dang similar to the Ur-Quan and the Khor-Ah. Also the Precursers from SC:II misterysouly(sp) disappeared from the universe also. A lot of things like that

Is it just me, or is anyone else noticing a LOT of referances the classic space game Star Control 2: Ur-Quan Masters . I mean, there are a LOT of them in this game.
