The Marza missile barrage is indeed very easy to pull off. I'm for a nerf, but a very specific one: Make it a forward shooting weapon like the rest of the Marza's weapons. It simply makes no sense that the MB missiles are fired from the front but can reach anything within 360 degrees when the normal missiles cannot. Make it a cone of fire instead. Then an enemy could flank the Marza and kill it without taking damage, unless the Marza is properly supported.

I've now found a way to remove the extra planets that gets spawned for each player by going into the galaxy file and setting extraPlanetGroupCount to 0 and deleting the extra planet configs. I was also able to change the distance the home planets are from the sun by modifying the homePlanetStarRadiusRange value. The home planets for each player still get spawned. The thing is that I can't seem to find a way to make one player start with a terran planet, another player with ice and a t
All right, I'll give it a go when I get home. I was in a bit of a rush this morning so probably it was just me not noticing the scroll bars... :)
Basically I want to open up an ingame randomly created scenario in Galaxy Forge and do some changes, but when I try the map is blank...
Thanks for the tip. I was able to remove the militias by replacing planetItemsTemplate templateName "Template:DefaultStart_Terran" subTemplates 2 template "Template:DefaultHomePlanetSetup" template "Template:LocalMilitia_Terran" groups 0 with planetItemsTemplate templateName "Template:DefaultStart_Terran" subTemplates 1 template "Template:DefaultHomePlanetSetup" groups 0 I couldn't find a way t
I'm talking about the ingame editor, not the standalone Galaxy Forge. I was thinking maybe there is a way of altering the way the ingame editor works, perhaps by modifying some files that it uses?
1. Every player gets 3 planets by default (edit: well ok, 3 planets gets created per player). This I do not like. How do I set this to 0 and force the players to each get one of the available planets created by the Map Designer? 2. How do I remove the militia units orbiting uninhabited systems? Thanks!
I for one consider it a bug when I can construct a ship with some specific components but am unable to reconstruct the same ship after researching miniaturization because the the parts somehow don't fit anymore.. Research is supposed to improve things not degenerate them. For me it was a short range scout ship that was buggered after the researching of miniaturization. Before I researched that tech I could fit three engines and one sensor on it. A
Wow, that sounds awesome. The more customizable the better.
I don't like the concept of being able to mine for example an influence resource by building a star base on it. Therefore I'd like to know if it's possible to make sure the galaxy is created without any galactic resources. I'd also like to know if it's possible to make sure the planets are created without any regional bonuses (or at the very least make sure there are no precursor mines on earth... <img src="smiles/Tongue.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi
