If you have the latest stable version of OD+ (1.90) then just right-click in an empty space in one of your docks, then go "add" and then "add weather docklet" (or similar). that will add a blank docklet, on which you click and above window will show.
i have tried numerous times to replicate a few of the issues ivan says he has without any luck. i stick by my stance that most of his issues are related to his rig and not objectdock. his best path for a remedy would be to format his rig and sell it. granted, some of his issues may be valid but how can he know if they've been addressed or not if he won't install the latest build? all this because he wants a changelog written just for him.
As I've stated before, Stardock s
I said addressed, my meaning was acknowledged/responded to/not ignored, I didn't however say they had been fixed/resolved.
Then I guess our interpretations of the word "addressed" differ substantially. When I say to my manager that I addressed a problem, I mean (and I'd expect him to see it that way) that I solved this problem. Besides, I'm sure he'd rather hear me say that I fixed a problem than say that such problem actually exists ;)
If you wade through the forums you'll see that the moderators and devs at Stardock have addressed Ivans issues multiple times and thus the replies he gets.
This really does provoke me to say something here. The issues have not been addressed because the bugs still exist. I was simply told to wait for the next release. Now if the next release (whenever it may become available) solves the issues that I'm having then it's ok to say that they have been addressed. Until such t
There's a beta available....you refuse for whatever reason to at least try it...so who's head is in the sand?
Actually, it's alpha that's available. And yes, I refuse because there's not a single iota of information from which I can decide whether it's good for me or not so my head is not in the sand.
Well then you've done all you can to bring it to their attention and trolling the forums for every thread you can find about ObjectDock and typing up the same complaints over and over isn't going to change those problems.
Which is why I will no longer be dragged into this. If I have any more problems then I'll let support know and we'll take it from there. What problems and when Stardock chooses to fix them is up to them, but them sticking their head into the sand and me
It's an ALPHA. It doesn't have documentation. Nothing will change.
So does that mean nobody knows what's new in this alpha? And it's shame that things won't change...
indeed, ivan, it is your choice to update or not. if you really don't want to update, that's cool. just stop bitching about the app. chances are, the issues you have are related to your machine, anyway. i know i've had issues with WB in the past and questioned things just
That poor bloody horse, it must be tenderized by now...
I'm not beating any horse. A member of Stardock shared some info about what's going on. I expressed my concerns about that info. Then it got turned into why I don't want to update to latest alpha build. I explained why. Some people decided to get judgemental about that. With all due respect, they shouldn't have done but it's their choice. Just as it is a choice for me to update or not. End of story.
Ridiculous comparison. You're not spending any money to try the update and it would probably take alot less time to try what was suggested then to spend as much time as you do hunting down every thread about ObjectDock and complaining in it. My guess would be that Snidelys last post is appropriate.
Not at all. The main concept of that comparison was to indicate my reluctance to do something without knowing 100% that it's what I want. The whole rollback thing is irreleva
ivan, you're a lost cause. installing the latest build and rolling back, if needed, are simple processes. personally, i think you're afraid of what you might find in the latest build. maybe you won't have a reason to complain as you presently do. is that what you're afraid of? if you don't want to do it, just say so and go on with life. your petty reasons for not wanting to do it are ridiculous, though.
I will only say that at present I will not install the alpha that's o
i'm seriously confused by ivan's defiant stance regarding installing the latest build via impulse. so what if there isn't a changelog? what does that have to do with the build? ivan, archive your current build that you're obviously so unhappy with and install the latest build. if you don't like it for any reason, roll back to where you currently are and continue being as unhappy as you are now. this silly reason you use for not installing the latest build is ridiculous. changelog or not h
I'm confused by your post: are you just in the mood to complain or is there a specific issue that you'd like to see addressed? If so, perhaps you should email support@stardock.com and let the support staff know what problem(s) you are having with the software. Or post your specific issue here in this thread. Messiah and WebGizmos are a couple of the site's expert ObjectDock skinners and they may have some insights into your problem(s).
I'm done with my complaining and I k
We have big plans for the technology and do not plan to abandon it any time soon. Look for future updates, but at this time we are currently taking the dock to a new level that I cannot disclose at this time, but we believe you will like it a lot. Thanks for your interest in ObjectDock! Stay tuned... The way I have it is to have a tabbed dock somewhere with one tab being the system tray icons. I also have a sidedock where the current tasks are held (I think there's a tickbox that switches that on and off). It's up to you to decide how much of a suggestion that is :)

In my reply I will address the messages posted by Jafo, KarmaGirl and aufisch. Jafo: Are you suggesting that OD is not part of Windows Customizing? You know as well as I do that both OD and WB are parts of Windows Customizing and as such should receive equal attention. Yes, in the past several months I had communication from almost everyone relevant. However, that's all it has been: talk. SD hasn't done anything to put things into action on a stable level. And

Well that's very interesting WebGizmos, because in another thread here I posted a list of bugs:
1. Start menu isn't rendering properly (using Stardock's own orb) 2. Moving cursor in start menu without clicking causes temporary no-response in side docks. 3. [Request] Being able to display items from system tray in any tabbed or normal dock. 4. Saving/packaging a theme doesn't save images for system tray icons. 5. Doesn't display nVidia's icon for system tray<b

Hello, So the last thread got locked because it went a little off-topic so I'll make sure this one stays on topic. And right from the word go I must address the last to posts that were made in the last thread that got locked.
If anyone needs a beating of a dead horse, please call 555-WILDER....
Look, if you don't have anything sensible to say then don't say anything. I am raising a perfectly valid problem that has been existing for quite some time yet you disrespectfully compare it to a dead horse in its metaphorical sense. Do you have OD+? If yes, then do you have any problems running it? If your answer is no, then to me you're just as good as a bald man trying to sell me anti-dandru
...it is now time to move on...
Move on to where? At the advice of support I am stuck on the beta version that has many bugs and you are unwilling to share what you "fixed" in the alpha that's sitting on Impulse. Therefore, I'm unwilling to update to it. I've got nowhere to move on to so please do think before you speak. What makes matters worse is that you are unwilling to admit how bad the situation is in terms of development of OD+. Face the facts. Come clean
