Doing well. Just after getting over covid, while I was still weak, I had a colonoscopy. Phun stuph. Skins coming soon....
As if Covid didn't kick the crap out of you enough. Good hearing from you, fella.
Before editing the registry, I strongly suggest creating a restore point, and backing up the registry. [e digicons];)[/e]

Pursuant to your pm Dolphin495034, there is no block on your posting that I can discover. Clear your browser's data, history and cookies, close and restart it. Should clear your problem up.
Please give us your Windows info - run winver and the Start10 or Start11 iteration from the "About" option. A screen shot of the problem might also help.
MS started saying they were going to deprecate the Control Panel in 2011 when Windows 8 was released. So now, 13 years later they say they’re going to do it sometime soon. Haha, I’ll believe it when I see it. [e digicons]*_*[/e]
In the case of MS, it would appear that the 'depreciated' euphemism means 'under appreciated'. We grew up with that control panel...and removing it makes me rememb
MS has a love-hate relationship with its customers: It loves our money, and it loves to hate us.
Overall, this just feels like a very soft re-launch of the app
The app had to be redone for W11. W11 has its limitations on the app as well. As for the settings app, I've noticed this as well. As for the multiple instances of the same app, I hope the 'peek' view can be adapted for OD3.
I saw this article and copy/pasted the whole thing into a WORD document for safe keeping. With all the MS hype about needing a current CPU for Windows 11, now they want to turn on Bitlocker by default, even on the Home version. This will slow some systems to a crawl. I have always used the Pro version of Windows for advanced networking and Group Policy, but I have never turned on Bitlocker, and won't start now. Thank you very much Microsoft!<b
Pretty much this is what start 11 does in many ways.
The reason so many people like the app. As pelaird wrote, "I have my fingers crossed that MS doesn't do something to screw that up!"
I wouldn't call Windows 11's start menu "well enough" But, of course you also can't fix a start menu that looks and functions too much like a phone menu by making it even more into a phone menu.
I agree...I was using an expression to convey 'don't louse it up even more'...but then, that's what MS is sooo good at, no?
Well, the MS Windows 11 development team needs some direction from somewhere besides focus groups.
Tru dat. ;)
MS should put the PowerToys team on Windows 11 development!
Punishment like that? What did they do to deserve such an ignominious fate?
From the article: "In my opinion, the Category view sort of looks like the home screen on a mobile device. In fact, this is exactly what the iOS App library looks like." So, should we blame Apple...or, as Will said in "Good Will Hunting", "You like apples? I got her number! How do you like those apples?" [e digicons];)[/e]
Or am I overthinking things?
Yes. You are not selling it nor making money on it, and that is the meaning of "commercial". pelaird's advice should suffice, and it's an easy solution.
