So here is the thing. There is a "new" check box called "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support". In the administrative language settings for Windows 10. It was initially include in insider build (that I did not have) in April 2018 but it is present in the normal build of Windows 10 1903. I checked this box wh

Hello, and thank you for getting back to me I cant reproduce what you are seeing - even with changing languages. I'm sorry to hear that, I see how this can hinder troubleshooting <span style="font-size: 16px; background-color: #
Followed the steps, it made no difference. Please let me know, if this information is not enough.
Thank you for that. Windows 10 1903 build 18362.113. Stock standard Windows Defender. (Russian)
I've already done that. File: Fences_3.09_setup_sd.exe SHA256: 92235DA746A26B69A05ED67D9CCF2113996F9EA38DB6B39D41665FB52847394B Any other tips?
When I start the installer I see this: This is a last week Windows 10 installation, I rebuilt my PC and wanted to run fences that I used to run before the rebuild. How to proceed?
While working on my PC out of the blue a message popped up "Your fences has been remotely de-activated" This is AFTER I emailed the support and was told that the issues was resolved. I actually believed that it was resolved. Apparently not. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yhbmv5ycstcys8s/02-Jul-14%2009-05-00.png?dl=1
The current version is 2.13. The previous version 2.12 seems to still work and can be used as a work around until this issue is sorted. 2.12 can be found here http://filehippo.com/download_fences If you do install 2.12, please uninstall 2.13 first and reboot. I did not fist time around and just installed on the top of 2.13 and got a botched installation.
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, please feel free to point me in the right direction. I want to be able to get a random desktop wallpaper daily. If possible without the need to manually download them first. But even if I can download a couple of month worth of wallpapers in one go so that they change automatically it would do as well. Is there any way to achieve this with Object Desktop? I know that you can let it cycle the wallpapers, but I can't

You might want to contact support to merge them . . .or not.
Guys, why are you doing this? I'm not wmcivor, but should you review my account history would you decide that I am entitled to my opinion? I think my first purchase on this account is dated 2006 and I've bought quite a lot of Stardock pr
I'd like to think that the release of Start8, arguably the world's most popular Windows 8 specific product, is a good start for Object Desktop users. Decor8 is about to be released. DeskScapes, WindowBlinds and WindowFX are likely to either be released or show up in beta in the next 60 days.
This is very good to hear, thank you for chiming in. I too "upgraded" to Object Desk
You can switch off the shortcut overlay globally via registry. This way no icon on desktop will ever look as a shortcut. If this helps, google for "remove shortcut overlay" to find out how. It is quite possible that there is no way of adding a custom item into the Control Panel desktop right-click menu because it is just that special. Also it would be interesting to know *why* you don't want a short cut. Is there any particular scenarios in which this is inconvenient or doesn'
Shirley, thank you for this. Are you absolutely sure that the link your posted provides information on how to do what you said? The 'send to' menu primarily used to start a program and pass what ever you clicked 'send to' on as a parameter. Yes, windows has a facility to include current desktop in the send to menu (it is included there by default), but there are two problems with this as applicable to the problem I posted in the original post: 1. It does not MOVE the s
Try this: - Right click on the 'Control Panel' Icon - From the drop-down menu select 'Create Shortcut'. This will create a Control Panel shortcut on your desktop. - Now you can delete the original Control Panel Icon if you so inclined. You can also rename the new shortcut to 'Control Panel' - Right click on the shortcut and select 'Exclude this icon from Fences' quick-hide' You are done!
Intuitively, I don't think that disabling animation would make it run any faster. It will take exactly the same amount of time, but you won't get any visual feedback as to what's going on.
Hello All, this request could be implemented as a separate program that has nothing to do with fences. However since fences IS about icon management I thought that the developers might consider adding this feature. I'd like to be able to right click on an icon an change it location from All Users desktop to Current User desktop and vise versa. When a PC is used by several home users you want some common icons for all of them, and these go to All Users and some o
