Please disregard. I had particle effects turned off. when I turned it back on, I could see all the spell effects.

sent save game file to customer support and told them to get it to you as I couldn't get just cloud to work...
can you build a fire shrine from the applicable city build menu? I know in the FE scenario, your one city starts really close to a few resources that you can't directly select because it will select the city instead. you can upgrade from the city build menu, however. On resources that are further away, you have to click on the resource to upgrade.
I am playing on the second map of the FE scenario after getting the transport ship and the african american female withcraftish spell caster champion. In my party I have the main character, 2 standard mage units with incineration staff, and three other champions (don't know names off hand but came with me on the first map). In tactical combat, there are no ranged attack animations or spell animations. For example, the mage units will still motion like they are attacking
Just dont use salted pork to heal your characters. Simple. Just like how you dont eat salted pork in real life.
Could the issues with tactical combat be solved simply by having armies start farther away. Of course, then people complain about them taking longer. Can't please everyone.
Naa this is a good thing. It represents non combat units poor tactical awareness
Even a child knows to crawl behind his or her father when an axe murderer comes through the door.
As far as unit placement, units with greater overall combat power (taking into account defense, attack, init, etc.) should be placed in front, but perhaps every so awesome, they get caught in ambush or a pincer attack like in final fantasy 6. Perhaps even a level up perk where fights you start surprise the other unit.
Would love to start the second map of the campaign even though SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!!!!!! Relias' lover died
reinstalled the game... same issue. It crashes to desktop trying to load the second scenario map after the temple battle. I also notice, I don't get a choice to auto resolve the battle, it just sends me straight in to the tactical battle. Is the final "boss" fight intended to not be able to auto resolve? I have the same issue. Crash after fighting the temple battle before the second map. It crashes after the cut scene where the woman champion dies and while loading the second map. Not really a bug, just, well I guess a buzz kill. when you start a tactical battle in FE, you hear IMO, pretty good, exciting combat music. then, when you check a unit by double clicking on it to see status, you hear the more lame and gentle status checking and equipping music. When you close and go back to combat, it keeps the lame music going! I find myself in tactical battles, never double clicking on a unit to check its status so that I can keep hearing the combat
Even tried updating my graphics card. It crashes every single time after I fight the last battle against the fallen mages that curse you in the temple at the end of what I assume is the first map of the campaign. I will second the crappy user manual thing that games these days seem to have. I love a thick and artsy instruction manual complete with story and lore. A lot of times, PC games will just have an instrcution card and tell you to look up the rest online! You shouldn't have to buy the more expensive collectors edition to actually have an instruction manual to enjoy reading. Kudos on your manual for FE Stardock! Very impressed!
Or another way to look at it, withut law and order, where is thine strategy? To have infinite choice is to invite chaos. That entity that the space marines had a huge thousands of years long civil war over.
Isn't ICS a staple in TBS? In civ, you gotta keep building cities, galciv, you gotta keep coloizing worlds, heck even in MOM, the godfather of mythical TBS you had some ICS going on. expand or die. Whats so bad with pioneer spam? I feel that people complaining about that might complain that you have to research technology. I don't see whats wrong with a TBS that forces you to expand while also forcing you to reserach technology, etc.
Frogboy wants to exercise your attention to detail, a skill missing from the youth of today.
correction, elder scrolls 5, not empire scrolls 5.
That being said, dragons are also intelligent, a less known fact about dragons, so they really should only go after the unit that disturbs them then they return to guarding the treasure. I am absolutely against the bug where a dragon goes rampaging across your cities because the AI triggered it.
* Is it clear that attacking a dragon with your low level Sov is suicide?
Anybody who has read fantasy, watched fantasy, played fanstasy themed games, played MMOs like WOW, played magic the gathering, and/or has played empire scrolls 5 would know that baby dragons (whelps) are powerful enough to give a solider a run for his money, and full grown dragons can take on
While tactical battles are a huge part of this game, I wonder if you auto resolve battles all the time, will heroes suddenly not be so OP?
I think you were the guy being humble in saying "you were just an engineer and not a scientist" if I am not mistaken. Hardly something to be humble about. anyways, I am guessing you have to be off work, for I am impressed in your posts and in all the game playing time. It hardly seems like there isn't enough time in the day since 0.98 came out.... you must have haste 3 cast on you. either that, or you drink 6 cups of coffee a day.
