One thing about heat, it makes a cold beer taste even better ;-) Fun to read about the cyclist's adventure. A colleague of mine will be cycling from Portland to DC the coming weeks, maybe you'll see some of the cyclists go by - although I expect they'll be giving interstates a pass :-D Should be a sight though, 50 velomobiles in a convoy :)

Hey Mason, hope you're running again - and that the Orlando Bastards get what's coming some day, fat chance probably, but... Saw this in the wsj, thought you might enjoy it http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704896104575139990857438962.html :)

It's the gentleman trucker :) Did you delete the other one or did it get mislayed somewhere? Anyway, sorry to hear about the truck not running, even if it is what it is - it's good to be able to make the money when it's possible in the current circumstances

Bummer about the knitting bag, but it looks like you've almost gotten through the waiting time without it. Hope you have a great day tomorrow :) Congrats!

Wow, thanks. The only reason? I'm flattered and consider that very kind of you to say. It is nothing but the truth :) I've limited my online reading severely the last months, trying to get some more time for other things, but masonm.joeuser.com is still a regular stop - and I'm sure it will be as long as you keep on writing, so there :p I do visit the homepage though - when I need to login to leave a comment ;)

I love the Holmes stories :) If you enjoy the 30 minute radio plays from the 30s & 40s as well, there's lots of fun to be had at archive.org . Just look for Holmes in the audio section - I don't know exactly how many were made, but over 20 years I expect there's some time to go before you've heard them all.. Of course most won't be Conan Doyle stories, but you can't have everything. (Trying to find how many there were and found <a href="http://ww

Good to see you happy Mason :) As for the silly piece of cloth, I'm still in two minds about them I think - anyone trying to sell me something wearing one of those will have a hard time convincing me, it's like a flashing neon sign saying 'crook' just above his head :p Others just behave differently in a suit and tie - still I think respect is something you earn more than just receive because of a nice tie or suit. First impressions help, but if you're stuck with someone for longer tha

Ok :) Will do! edit: watched a few of the roadmovies, you sound very relaxed :) I'm sure people could listen to mason's talk radio :)

I wonder what you'd sound like :) Strange how even if you never really think about it you tend to have a certain image of someone you've never met in your head :p You can probably do a weekly mason's trucking adventures podcast, play a few tunes, pick some great stories from your years on the road :) Hmmm and the discussion of interest isn't really an issue is it, seeing as you're 5th leading user on the site? :D

No way you get boring :) My firefox wants to send me to masonm.joeuser.com when I start typing joe. Haven't got much to add usually, but I enjoy reading - a lot. I can understand that when people don't comment it may look like there's nobody reading, but I can assure you I'm here just about every day :) What's more, I'm sure I'm not the only one either :) I'll leave you some more comments :) (Although there is a reason I usually leave the writing to people like you who can ;))</

Brad, nice video :) Good explanation too, I'll go and try it out in a bit. Two things: for me it ended abruptly in the last second, missing the last few words and second: put a link to stardock and/or fences in the description :)
