Can't put my finger on it in Sins of a Solar Empire Stardock Forums

Anyone else feeling a bit of a love hate relation ship with this game? I would say its more love than hate for me though, the great company that stardock is, they put out great updates so knowing the game will only improve helps. The difficulty and challenge in this game is a bit deceiving. I kind of like the single player mode in that, every time I try a new map and increase the AIs - my strategy needs to change. Ok...getting the hang of the... sorta. Pirates seem to dominate my time. Anyway, slowly but surely I dominated a small random map..except one...planet. And its the Pirate planet. ANd the mother of all Pirate swarms awaits. Its... hilariously large pile of ships. I tried to take them out with 2 fleets, consisting of 4 capital ships.... it didnt go well. If I preorder can I play it now? Galactic CIV TA allows you to play the pre-release ( beta ). I read conflicting posts about this with Sins of a Solar Empire. If not, only a couple weeks. Looks good.

Campaign - Dread Lords... omg in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

First let me say, I played GC1 and liked it, but GC2 is just awesome! Anyway, I sailed pretty easily through the campaign until the Dread Lords make their appearance. Ok... what the heck is up with these guys. right off the bat they have like a 30 dmg rating in Mass Drivers? So, I tried countering with dumping every thing I could into the corresponding armor, and they simply come back at me with ships with UBER Missles! by this time my allies are toast and im close. <b
