On a 1920x1200 display powered by a GTX 780 Ti with whatever the default settings are, I found the font DPI to be too small. The height of the font is fine, but the... thickness? seems to be too tiny; almost as though the font is slipping between the display pixels.

I'd be curious if you see the same issues with any other faction. I launched as the Alterians & didn't run in to any graphical issues like you described. It might also be related to your hardware setup. I'm running Win7 Ultimate on an i7 @ 3.4Ghz w/16Gb of RAM. GTX 780 Ti driving a 1920x1200 resolution.
