Have rebooted, anyone have any ideas before I go for the re-install?

Beta 3 patch, game now unplayable in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

After doing the recent patch, my game no longer has text. The buttons on the main menu, research and planet screens. Everything is blank. I have played enough that I can still move around, but for actually playing its worthless. Please help

A further question is whether or not being a supply suided economy versus one that makes the finished goods will be applied?
