I repeat please add a filefront mirror.
Please don't make demands...his rapidshare links are working fine for such a small filesize, although I'm sure Uzii will upload it to Filefront if he wants :)
Yar, fixed it up right, it did. Thing was, I didn't end up changing anything...still have the same changed count numbers...all I did was redid my .str file  Whatever, it works! I have surprises for v1.0 :D
As it stands right now, my mod is completely compatible with Uzii's mod, and in fact I highly recommend using it. As for further releases of The Mars Effect, there might need to be some merging done, as I will likely be changing the English.str file.
Ultra quick fix (v0.9a) - Fighters HP reduced by 30% - Bombers HP reduced by 50% - Documentation improved (changelog now present since I've now changed something; list of files changed included at the end of the readme)
Yeah, so the format issues are IE not capturing the proper indentation of the post, but all the info is there, so consider it an incentive to get FF :p
most of this has been done in other mods... and having 30 cap ships is seriously gonna suck. its been tried before in another mod (Sins Enhancement Mod v1.52) and the mod creator reduced it because the ai kept on using capitol ships and u were forced to do the same to win battles. will give it a try though.
<br/
Mod looks interesting, however there's something screwy with your HTML in your original post. Lots of "· " appearing, which I don't think is what you mean to have happen.
Can anyone else confirm this? It looks good to me...
I have a problem this mod and 1 other that i down loaded are not in a folder when i downloaded and when i click on the download windows wants me to choose a program to run it from. Is it because im using fire fox? Can someone help me
It's in an archive, which means you need a program to extract the contents inside said archive, I suggest 7-zip (www.7-zip.org) personally. So from the main menu -> Options, there isn't a tab titled "Mods" along the far left side of your screen? :NOTSURE:
Username should be the name of your account that you log onto Windows with. You should not have to create a new folder for it, if you navigate from My Computer -> C:/ (or whatever drive you installed Windows on) -> Documents and setting -> Then double click the folder with your username. As for the Options bit, when you have Sins up and running, on the main menu, click on "Options"; along the left side you will see a series of tabs/buttons (User Interface, Video, etc.), the very b

Best thread ever. You spend 2/3 of the post whining about "spammers", how they have no skill (most do), how they have no strategy (yet they just beat you with a pretty decent/risky strategy), and then your fall back strategy is to spam yourself? This, class, is hypocrisy, mmkay?
I don't think there are any mods yet. Its been only 2-3 weeks and good quality mods take time and testing to make. I would wait 2-3 months at least before looking for mods
I disagree, what he's requested is primarily (actually all of it) found in the editable .entity files. There are mods that have been released (*cough*)! Now, large scale mods like the Star Wars/BS:G mods are going to take much longer than 2-3 months, while the first replacer/additions for mode
the file front link seems to be hosed but ill check this out. looks good.
Fixed...weird that it didn't work the first time, must have screwed up the link :)
NiceI see that you have made the planet defenses way more powerful from the original gameNow the game is not only about Offense anymore...Defensive strategies can work nowThats good
That was a major intent of this mod, but note that defenses still will not be able to take on a determin
The frigate factory features a colony frigate. Is the one on the second/bottom row, furthest to the left (i.e. bottom left) EDIT: Also, please do not bump your post in such a short time period, you need to relax and give people a chance to help you out.
Updated original post, thread title for release. Reformatted to make it easier to read. Included download links on the bottom of the first post.

Your starting location in the grav well determines where you will end up at the next gravwell.
Modding = teh shiz. I actually got into it via a completely different series of games (Morrowind, then [bleh] Oblivion), and modding/using mods will completely suck all free time away...and large amounts of HDD space as well. Galciv2 (and I'm assuming Sins once it gets its full set of modding tools) is nice in that nearly anyone can mod the game, which becomes very addicting.
I'd have to watch the replay to really be able to comment. But you probably should have built light frigates instead of heavy cruisers; bombers do loads of damage to heavy cruisers, and light frigates do loads of damage against carrier cruisers.
Still relies on you being able to catch said carrier fleet...which is definitely a lot more reasonable with light frigs, but you're still guaranteed to lose quite a few before getting clo
Yar, I've gone three maps in a row where in 4v4, it comes out to be 3v1...me being the one.
In multi I tend not to rename my planet until after I've been scouted. There's nothing more conductive to an early rush than renaming your planet to "Pwnage"... "Hmmm, I wonder where Blue is..."
Enable cinematic mode prior to disabling the HUD though :)
