yilmael you havent? it will take you under 15-35 seconds (matters what direction its heading) to kill a level 10 cap (if the cap has no anti-fighter abilities) with 40 bombers, even if he has 35+ flaks the cap will die, then you can just kill a few buildings (most likely you can find a building away from the flaks) and retreat, greatest harassment method there is and makes many human opponents quit. however an all out carrier fleet is not so good in direct battles (maybe why th

would be nice, especially since sometimes we can continue bidding for over 2 minutes after it hit 0 before the pirates decided who to attack (sword), think its based on the last bid and some random variable.
its dps rounded.
Well its extremely misleading, e.g. 100 advent bomber squads actually do 1780 damage, not 2100. A difference of ~20%.
I found that the missiles bypassing shields was not as useful as I thought it would be, even with 7 or 8 frigates, since their bomber swarms only have 3, compared to the advents 7 or 8.And finally, that cost reducing upgrade was so expensive to reach 2/2, and for only an 8% reduction, that I don't even know if I broke even. Combine this with the fact that their ships cost so much, you'll usually only be attacking planets with your cap ship and 4 frigs. After the first ba
atm the dps is displayed in integers, however based on calculations its easy to see that the numbers are double/float. Im just wondering if they are converted to integers just for display purposes and the game uses the real values, or if the game actually uses the integers?
hey just a suggestion, put the ship names above their info (I know the ships are highlighted at the bottom).but nice work :). also you might wanna add bombers, fighters for each race. (they are different).
FFA: Its quite easy to get returning armada in ffa games (locked teams, so no backstabbing) , even in small FFA games I can usually get it within 55 minutes of the game start (with only 4-5 planets). Most people don't know your going for it until you put a few phase stabilizers up and by then you can be 10-12 minutes away from getting it and instead they focus on the enemy which is actually a threat (usually attacking them at some point) and in ffa games barely anyone attacks the person with
getting stuck is funny and something you usually dont expect. In a recent game my enemy actually put his cap beside my cap and it got stuck between the planet and his cap, took like 12-15 seconds to somehow push through and it died.
I loved sc2, played it so many times that after ~12 years of not playing it I tried it again like a year ago and finished it quite easily. anyway try out http://sc2.sourceforge.net/ the intro music and outro was amazing, and I really liked the music of some of the species.
not sure if this was mentioned before, but based on the files flaks(antifighter ships) actually do 100% damage to long range missile ships(LRM).
heres the info in spreadsheet format, anyway antiVeryLight is the damage type they do: [link="http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pcOvsvGOuzj52hJcEejsTZg"]WWW Link[/link] never noticed this, but LRM and the like take 100%
The graphics in my opinion are better on SoTS, I'm running everything on highest and the spaceships look rather blurry. This is definetly worth buying if you enjoyed SoTS.
Turn bumping to the lowest and try medium to high settings for the rest, sometimes the highest settings make the graphics look worse (at least based on what numerous people said on the forums).
And the phase lane building costs 300 crystal. D: So I never got to really use them, kept having to spend that on ships.
hmm, even in small maps where I can only get 4-5 planets(including asteroids), I tech up to phase stabilizers and build 2-3 within 35-45 minutes of the game start (matters how aggressive the other player/s is/are) and decide to get dark armada or not and usually would within the next 15-20 minutes and start the proper va
yes there is, changing the tech entity files to increase the amount of cap they add.
nice idea durikk :) and yes I could see that crippling mass mass bombers of advent and tec (both under 120 hp) and to some extent vasari (just need to wait till next one). 250 bombers swooping towards the 4 caps, bam they kill one cap and second later 2 remaining caps use the ability and 250 bombers go poof :).
I think a few modders will make a few better ones than those on the forums already, or combine them into better ones, remember the game has only been out for a week.
So in a fleet of two capital ships, 30-40 assault frigates, a handful of cruisers, and 25-30 LRM launchers, it's completely balanced that I can completely stomp the Advent Drone Carrier spam - a race that is HEAVILY FOCUSED ON FIGHTERS - with just four or five flak frigates? That it should be expected that their entire force should slowly crawl around and chase away at a handful of units in order to use something?
how many drones? what support was there for
assailant has the same damage type and armour as the LRM.
Their missile ship.. yeah. Sounded good with the hitting mutliple target ability. I though it'd be good against frig swarms, but it's definitely not. That ability sucks. And what do you mean "bring reinforcements directly to your location"?
I think its quite nice, at level 3 it does 600 damage to 7 random targets within the radius (5000) for 90 antimatter and with a cool down of 15 seconds.
ye vasari are much weaker in early game than their counterparts (matters which map, on maps with many capture able resources not so much, but on maps with none they have a disadvantage), but once they have a few phase stabilizers up and dark armada (can be done within an hour or so, with only 4-5 planets) they start to really shine.
