I'm getting a new desktop soon, but I prefer the mobility of the laptop I'm just wondering if anyone can narrow down what might cause this random bug? I.e. going to a certain screen, or enabling a certain type of graphical option, that I could then turn off and continue to play normally. I guess not enough people are experiencing this issue.

still having the same issue. Get a decent video card. The onboard Intel ones are crap, spend a few dollars getting something half decent. You're fortunate you can even play the game on those things, most games these days don't even support them. Its in a laptop that's 2 years old. The same problem did not occur for Galciv 2, apart from the prettier graphics, what's changed?

Are we talking about the same MOO3? The one that was abandoned shortly after release (with 1 patch), and destroyed the entire MOO franchise? Its a very tough comparison, to compare a game that is almost three years old to one that has been released 1 month ago. You may have the privilege of playing it recently and with mods, but you had to be there to experience the sheer unadulterated disappointment. Lets compare

Huge anticlimax. Both final missions for me, had little to no resistance on normal. The Drengin left their home planet totally undefended and a simple transport was enough. Ditto

I hope this isn't too late in the process. I was a big fan of custom races in the MOO series. I'm fairly sure this feature was in MOO2 and I think it'd be fairly easy to implement. Given GalCiv2 has so many customisable attributes. It would be great, if there could be negative attributes included to obtain more ability points. I.e. Research ability -10% research, + 1 ability point. or Economics - 10% economy, +1 ability point. etc.

Item #2: The video tutorials (yes, the game has in-game video tutorials) stutter on some (but not all) older video cards. This is due to alpha blending. You can turn off anti-aliasing but that may not fully solve it. We plan to have this dealt with by release day. My video tutorial are stuttering. I guess that means I have an older video card. Its release day - so any update on this?<img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=

Just downloaded and installed the game. Trying to watch tutorials, but the audio and visual is very jerky. I.e. a few words, then stop, then another few words. It is consistent for all tutorials. My display adaptor is a SAPPHIRE RADEON 9200SE Atlantis. I didn't have any problems when I downloaded the preload and playing the tutorials over the BINK video thing. Any suggestions?
