Take my money please! FE is one of my all time favs, I used to go back to it often. This is awesome. Thanks!

This was very helpful, much more so than the tutorial. Or at least both are needed for a better grasp of the game. Thanks!
In regards to your tweet about the next Elemental game, honestly I'd love a sequel, but if y'all aren't interested then yes I'd certainly take a god game in the Elemental world :)
Thank you!!!
Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to Sins 2, but I was definitely hoping for Elemental 2 :)
I played very little of the original Gal Civ, played hundreds of hours of 2, and only a few dozen of 3. Having played 4 I already like it way more than 3 and see the trajectory going beyond 2 - mostly for the changes and reasons noted in your post. I think of it as having more regular interesting and meaningful decisions but not adding unnecessary micromanagement or drowning in the +2% etc. impacts. I like the idea of options (meet civs in turn 2 or turn 200) based on
Cool! I've never seen that one before. I only have about 80 hours logged so maybe I just missed it over the years :)
Fantastic! One of my all time favorites and I always seem to go back to it. This looks like another good reason to do so once again. MUCH appreciated!
Thanks, saw that one. It is the best thing I can find...
I had the same issue. Honestly I can't remember how it got fixed, I think I alt-tabbed closed it and when I loaded it back it was fine. I'm using a Dell Alienware AW3418DW
Bought this for myself and my 12 year old. On both machines it crashed when exiting the first time but not after that. Just FYI :)
Been a long time Stardock fan, I'm a founder of most of your games :) Saw this and hit me it's a great summer project for me and my 12 year old. Thanks! Really looking forward to how this gets even better!
FELH is one of my all time favorites and I saw the new patch so I redownloaded bought the DLC I was missing and fired it up. I’m very rusty (noticed my last saved game was from 2014) and was wondering if anyone could point me to an updated guide or good tutorial series on YouTube. I did quite a bit of searching and newer YouTubes don’t do a good job of explaining and I couldn’t find a guide newer than 2014...
wow, that sounds fantastic! too bad I have no writing talent at all...so I look forward to enjoying whatever is created by those who do!
I've always liked the idea of RTS just never been good at them. But a Stardock product with the pedigry of folks at BonusXP - founder for sure!
Erised OK, yeah, too lame...guess I have some time to think about it :)
just had the same problem...bug?
Guys, you gotta stop giving this stuff away for free! I want you making great games for another 25+ years! :) Personally I like the move to Steam. I was one of the people who pre-purchased Elemental so even when I got FE for free I bought it again on Steam, just because I like Steam and, well, like I said, you can't give this stuff away for free! Thanks for once again reaffirming why I am so loyal to this company. Much appreciated!</p
I just checked it out - looks GREAT so far!
For what it is worth and without getting into details, in short, I'm all for the process taking as long as is necessary to make this game the best strategy game ever to hit the market. I would like to see it used as the definitive standard for all other such games.
I agree. I have already paid for Elemental, did so as soon as I could because Stardock has always delivered great games and unbelieable customer suppo
Well, that just stinks - but it seemed like it was coming based on some of the editorial comments (I seem to remember a recent plea for subscribers). I happen to subscribe to and read cover to cover The Big 3 PC gaming mags. I think each does some things better than the others but I have never once over the past 5 years I've subscribed to all 3 thought about cancelling any of them. Sure I skim GameSpot, GameSpy, IGN etc. but I found the mags to be overal superior in their coverage and reviews
I have to say I love this forum. Back when the HOMM5 beta was out and I was a beta tester I refused to load the game and said there was no way in hell I would buy it because of StarForce. So I post that and get a bunch of replies saying "you are an idiot for not buying a game just because of Starforce" yada yada yada. Might point was, and has always been, that there are simply a TON of good games out right now, many with non invasive copy protection
"Most of the bugs revolve around the auto pilot line drawing so we may just take that out for the beta and keep working on it. It wasn't a hugely requested option anyway." I would just like to lobby for the autopilot line drawing as for me it would be a big help...I didn't request it before and then when I saw it was going into 1.1 I never felt like I needed to say anything but I don't want Stardock to get the impression that it isn't a hugl
I certainly understand the point of is the AI trying to win vs is the AI being a unique empire. To me the reality is that is if every AI were in it to "win" then the cultural conquest victory condition would go away - as any remaining ai that saw you were on your way to victory should gang up on you. Would this be a bad thing? I don't know. The possibility of every player trying to position themselves to either win through military conquest or alli
Interesting post. My bottom line is really how much fun do I have playing the game. And if I'm not having fun are there specific reasons (CTD) which may be "fixed" by a patch, or sometimes games just don't resonate with me and patches aren't going to change that. I think GC2 is a great game. Will 1.1 make it better? I don't know, maybe just a little different. Sure I wanted random opponents but in all honesty not having random opponen
