I've found a similar bug on the Human huge wedge-shaped hull. At the end of the stern, on the bottom (where I tried to stick some engines) one of the hard points sticks straight out, rather than backwards, resulting in an engine whose thrust would be... counter-productive. I haven't found a way to fix it with rotational attachments, so I just mount my engines elsewhere.

I got eight of them in under a year in my last game. Granted, I have the Lucky trait, but still. I tend to think however that the Rangers are somewhat mitigated in their effectiveness on a Gigantic map with Rare inhabitable planets: there wasn't a single enemy planet within their range in my game. I had to build floater starbases in the middle of nowhere to get them anyplace useful. And they're [i]slow[/i].
Dear minor races, When you steal all the technology of the most technologically advanced race, and the player is lagging badly, be careful. Star Control II is available in very [i]very[/i] loyal remake form as The Ur-Quan Masters. Ironically enough, I've been playing it for the last week to distract me from lusting after Galciv2.
Well it's a beta so test it out. Some of us can't. I pre-ordered on the 25th after the cutoff, so I can't download the beta. Of course, I've been over the site, so I know the answers to most of my questions, but Vendelen might be in the same boat as me.
