Since I updated to the latest build available on GOG.com, planetary landings are just a chore. I used to get around the stupid terrain by just holding the jump button and moon bouncing all around. Mostly alleviating the difficulty of navigating the nonsensical terrain. Now that I can't hold the button down, it's just...tedious. And it seems that about 1 in 5 critters (and drones) are crazy OP, like 10x the hits or more. Was that on purpose? It's just irrita

I didn't know that. I'd've sworn I read that many of the patches break old saves. So, if I update, what is the fix? Can somebody give me more people? Can I land with less than a full lander crew? Does it introduce the bug Inferno83 mentioned which provides crew with crew pods? I didn't see a fix for this in the change logs, but I might have missed it. Can somebody tell me if updating is going to affect this issue? (and confirm that updating will not
I'm on an early build. I didn't see any fixes for this issue, though, in the change logs. Also, if I upgrade, I loose all my progress, no?
What are the folder to exclude for the GOG version?
Just downloaded version 1.10 on GOG today. Can't install it yet, though, 'cause save games.
I'm glad to see these bug fixes, but I guess that really did make us beta testers didn't it? That's reeeeally disappointing, 'cause I've fallen victim to bug after bug, and I think my game is in a broken state, and the only solution I seem to have is to upgrade and start all over. I really wish I had waited for several months instead of pre-ordering. Maybe even waited for a sale? You guys really should have told us that's what you were doing. Auwe!
Okay, I tried the trick with crew pods, but crew pods come empty. I cannot buy or switch to my existing crew pods to get more crew. Also, this is turning out to be a game breaking situation, since I can't land on planets to continue any other "quest" I'm on. I'm basically stuck. Stardock, Am I completely stuck?
Sorry, I was trying to be cagey and not spill too much. Apparently I wasn't at all clear. I can't get new crew at Earth's starbase 'cause I'm infected with the Plinthi virus, but I can't cure it without collecting Superfluids. I don't know how to get those without planetary landings. I'll try swapping my crew pods after work today and see what happens. I'll get back to you. Thanks!
I seem to be completely stuck and can't figure out how to proceed. Spoilers abound, of course. I have got to a point where I've met the Plinthi and I need to rid myself of them, but I need to collect something for the Tywom in order to do this. I can't collect anything more, since my ship population is now 3, and I can't send any more landers down. This un-winnable situation seems...cheap. Is there a way I can increase my population while I've got billions and billio
