One of my monitors is split into three zones. If an app needs focus, I maximize it and do work. When I'm done, I restore it to it's zone. Typical window "Maximize" and "Restore" button operations. I set groupy to open new windows from these apps into the tab group. So now, when I maximize and open an email, for instance, Groupy will "Restore" the group to its zone.
