Turn off your firewall, engage Windows firewall. Activate.exe must go through once. When it's successful, re-enable your firewall.

"not a valid Win32 application" is a corrupted download. Do not use a download manager.
You might want to update WB while you're at it.......don't know where you got that one, but I hope you're running a 64bit system. Download and install: WWW Link Input serial number and install latest WB version using SDC
If you have a screen saver running, turn it off. Boot into bios and enable S1 Power Management. Disable all wake up events except keyboard. Boot back into Windows and bring up the 'Turn Off Computer' dialog. Hold the 'shift' key down and click on 'Standby'. Does it 'Hibernate' correctly now?
You have a docklet running in OD+? Being it's new, if this never hibernated the bios settings are probably set wrong.
System/ Hardware/ Device Manager/ Network Adapters: Check 'Turn off' card and un-check 'Allow Device' in Power Management
I switched my screen resolution to 1074x768 Z's right. Start there....
(I did notice that my serial number had changed from my orginal one) The number should be the same. Where are you getting them from? What firewall and AV are you using?
List the Firewall, AV and Spyware apps you have installed.
I just noticed another problem. Turn off Kerio (enable the Windows firewall) and SpywareGuard during the WB install.
I assume you un-installed the trial. How many times did you get the BSOD before doing the restore and what graphics card and drivers.
OK...forget that...it lasted ten minutes and was back. This is on the Stardock side....have to wait for Pat on Monday.
Did WB4 work and how did you un-install it? What version are those latest graphics drivers you have installed?
ouch...you were way ahead of me on that one Bichur....next time I'll read what he's trying to do.... If he's got 2.0 installed, he can (as you suggested) just re-install 1.1. I have no idea if it will still give him the ASPNET account back with 2.0 installed....never tried it backwards...........
...wow.... you had a thought...???
