Let me give some information about favor points that may shead some light on the subject. Yes Favor points were broken in previous builds, but there were some major fixes a couple of builds ago that fixed most of the problems with favor points. So if you havent played much in the last week and are only looking at games from a month ago, then yes, you will see problems. But going forward Favor points should be

... when your partner calls you a noob even though they have 4 times the amount of deaths than you. I may still be a bit of a noob, but come on! Oh, and I had to laugh at the Oak's Last Stand comment. I remember one of my first games I had no idea what Last Stand was. I think it took me a couple deaths to figure out why this shiny guy I just killed wasn't taking any damage.. lol.

Random teams option would be nice. Although hopefully this patch makes "Skirmish" a viable alternative. Previously you could wait around forever and not get in a Skirmish game. Custom games were the best option to actually be able to play the game. Whether matchmaking is fixed or not, having a Random and a Blind Random option for custom games would be wonderful.

Yeah that is a bit silly. Although the ones that quit could have actually been "pro" players that maybe aren't as "pro" as they thought and their egos couldn't handle it, or maybe there was a connection issue. I like the first scenario better though... hehehe.

What was the aggravating part? And what do you mean the assists went to the wrong person? You got the only kills so you logically wouldn't get any assists. Assists go to anyone that assisted you in taking down the enemy DG. Overall it looked like a pretty even match. Like Eternal_Silence said though the enemy team actually took down buildings and your team didn't except for the most newbiest on your team... hehe. Maybe that's why he died so many times.. kept throwing himself a

Whether it's appropriate to compare Yetis to other summons or not isn't the issue. The issue is that other Generals get a decent amount of use from their summons, whereas almost everyone ignores Sedna's summons completely. Every skill within a DG's arsenal should be viable or it needs to be reworked. Skills are there for a reason. If the skill is so horrible that it's avoided like the plague then it needs to be looked at to make it viable again. Otherwise, why even have it as an option?

I like this idea. I know I could definitely benefit from some guidance other than "OMG U SUK". A couple times I've been in games and it must have been pretty obvious I had no idea what I was doing, but people have offered a tip or two in a mostly constructive manner. More often than not though there's only silence, or if I'm on a team with a "pro" I'll get the "OMG" type responses.. lol. It'd also be nice to find some sort of "Newbie Guide". Maybe there's one out there, but I
No matter how minor it is, handicaping someone for winning is flawed. Besides, as your level increases, the death timer ALREADY increases. They already have that in there.
Sorry, you misunderstood. The idea isn't to handicap the winner. The idea is to boost the loser. The term handicap refers to the idea that the losers are handicapped in their ability and need some help. Handicap is a term sometimes u

Hmm, thanks Kryo, but the impulsedriven seems to be blocked as well. The only Demigod forum I can find at forums.stardock.com is this single level of "Demigod". It doesn't have any sub-forums that I can see. Unfortunately I work at a big corporation so I'm a bit reluctant to try and bypass their security by using proxies and such. Thanks for the advice though everyone!

Ohh, Sakhari, thanks for mentioning the borked matching. I haven't been able to read all that's going on around here. I knew that people were having problems connecting to people but I assumed that the game was actually trying to match people of similar talent for the most part. But yeah, if it's not doing that at all then it's no wonder there are cases of vastly differing team performance. I definitely agree that the actual matching of teams within similar skill ranges should be deal

Good point, Sakhari. Maybe it's best not to have a handicap feature in Pantheon tournament. To the others, this is just a suggestion on how to make the game more appealing to the greater audience. It in no way makes Demigod less fun. It's just an option that could be thought about and tweaked to make the game more fun. But then again maybe I'm strange in that I have more fun when the entire game has some challenge to it. It's boring when my team is severely trouncing the other

I'm thinking I didn't clarify enough. I'm suggesting the death timer starts out low and builds longer as the game progresses and/or your level increases. By the time you're beating on a citadel the death timer would be the same as it is now. It's the early game that would have a short timer. "Underdog" code is fluid, not permanent. It's also comparatively small. It won't make the losing side more powerful than the winning side or even necessarily AS powerful as the winning sid

You just had to have the word "game" in the URL didn't you, Stardock? I can access these forums just fine, but not the forums.demigodthegame.com. Why have you forsaken me?? *shakes fist in the air* Anyone else suffer from this? Or better yet, is there a different way I can access the games forums so that my companies web service doesn't filter it out?

Rage quitting in Pantheon would start to go away and/or not matter if they made a few changes such as making the death timer scale with level, starting lower and working up higher either with deaths and/or with level, as well as scaling the xp/gold gain. Reading these forums and going by my own experiences there are just some things that make the game not very fun at times. 1. Length of time it takes to actually play. Obviously this is something they're working on. <
