Sorry about replying to such an old post, but I didn't see a solution here. Same issue here with 1.90 build 535u running on Windows XP SP2. Contrary to a previous comment, I am running as full admin on this box and I see this error often. If I leave OD for a while and try the start menu again, sometimes it will work. Fired up DebugView here and pointed it at the PID of OD. There doesn't appear to be any debug info being written though so that was no help unfortunately.
