Jafo, "...and from the 'brightest' comes the suicidal....", that is sadly also true. As far as "and have enjoyed 'heavy metal' since BEFORE the term was coined", what do you mean? I don't think Frank Sinatra can be coined Heavy Metal, but I can be wrong...

Sir Lantec, the funniest thing is when reading Blabbermouth users comments, you can see how hard they try to hide the fact that they have a superior intellect. And it works! You are tricked into believing that they are a bunch of banana eating apes, while really they could create devices to harness the power of cold fusion.
Hey BuddhaV10, my favorite has to be "Black seeds of vengeance", from the same-titled album. That was my first exposure to Nile when it came out, and whoa! This song still has the same effect on me -> Grin up to the ears Otherwise, one of my favorite DM song would be "Hammer smashed face" from Cannibal, even though I prefer George Fisher as singer. what about you? As far as Cattle Decapita
Same thing as Fairyy on my page as well, but at least the posts are here...
I came across this article on blabbermouth.net, and I appear to be part of the top 5 percent of the nation's gifted and talented youngsters, even though I'm not from this nation, and I'm not a youngster (more like a padawan in his glorious 30s). Does this mean 95% of the rest of the world should bow to our superior intellect? I tend to believe so, but I'd like your opinion nonetheless... I was a genius and I didn't know it! Thanks to 20+ years of listening to Cannibal Corpse, N
A place on the shelf? Yes you are right, it has to be used correctly, and it can be a pain to master this effect (way too much options for me... I'm lazy). I just think that some people are using it a bit too much for their own good...
What about downloading your own skin over and over again, something like a 1000 times a day, therefore making your skin a "Today's favorite", luring people into downloading your skin even though it's utter crap...? Can I do that? I have an ObjectDock icon with 9 downloads, and I'd like to boost this puppy up, even though the interest covered by the subject is close to zero, and I'm talking Kelvin degrees here...
I noticed NightwingDragon talking about 2D Bevel, and it triggered something in me I wanted to discuss about: Do you guys outthere like bevel? I for one don't like this effect at all, it just doesn't look right when trying to give a 3D aspect to a 2D object. I for one use cut outs to get the desired effect, and I think it looks more real. What 2D skinning guys think about that? Should we prohibit the use of Bevel in the skinning world? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Wink.gif" bo
NightwingDragon, what I meant by "organic" is simple: By watching an icon created in 3D, one shouldn't be able to tell it has been created with a 3D app, just like special effects in movies, hence a loads**t of bump mapping, with a LOT of triangles for the model structure and natural looking patterns. Not impossible, but too much work for icons I think, especially if you do it for free. Nonetheless, 3D icons that achieve this are incredibly beautiful. Let's take an exemple here, Cor
Hey Aroche my man, you are using a nice IP set but I can't help but notice the "My recent documents" is not skinned... Why? It should be here! Ahhhhh... IconPackager sometimes... well...
My two cents: I do all my icons using PSP X (2D Software), I was thinking about using a 3D modeler to explore new skinning territories, but looking at 3D rendered icons found around here, I can't help but notice it doesn't look organic, if you see what I mean... it's mainly patterns applied to surfaces, or objects available in the 3D engine library that just lack this "je ne sais quoi" you can find within 2D icons (you can make them look 3D by the way, that's what I do with my IPs, as most o
Guestbook is back, just to let you know whatever fix you guys applied, it worked!
Same as Bandit4edU and Quentin94, my Guestbook has vanished (it's been 2 weeks now). I thought it was a glitch and would soon reappear, but it seems to be a real problem, doesn't it? Well, just reporting... This is not the most important feature in the WC world as far as I'm concerned, but it's nice to have nonetheless. YeePee Kaï Yeah!
Thank you Jafo, it's up!
I've got another IP theme stuck in moderation it seems, can any of you admin can look it up lease? It's been more than 4 days, and I know sometimes you guys miss a few submission due to too much work maybe? Thanks in advance! The IP is called "Post Tenebra Lux", just in case it may be usefull...
Po' is using Crisco? I didn't need to hear about is sexual life, really... Next thing you know, he'll tell you about his passion for the Twister game.... I gotta barf...
This Omega Icon Package is outstanding, really!
Hey Jafo, you want a piece of me? My head's okay, or at least that's what the voice I hear in my head keeps telling me (as well as "kill... kill... kill...", but that's not the point here).
So it will be for the Ultimate guys then... Well... That's a shame... ( a la Seinfeld).
I don't understand why you guys takes it so much at heart when something is said "against" the almighty Microsoft. Take it easy guys! That reminds me of some futile discussions between PS2 and XBox fanboys. I'm just asking wheither Dreamscene will be available for Vista Home Premium users, that's all, adding a little comment about what I think about the marketing philosophy behind it. I didn't imply I'm not ready to pay for Dreamscene, don't make me say what I didn't say... <br/
To me, it's just a new toy I have to try! But little things are bothering me nonetheless... And I'm also looking forward to new possibilities skinning-wise with this new OS, that's the selling point for me (But I'm not planning on skinning Backup software or Data encryption processes...).
Ms. Bebi Bulma, I think we can agree on the fact that most home users won't need Ultimate for their everyday needs, so I tend to agree with you on this one, forcing people to buy Ultimate bundled with data encryption, backup solutions and Network connexion wizzards most of us don't need (I've got my work PC for that, thank you very grazie), just to be able to run something as useless as an animated wallpaper, there's something weird here as far as I'm concerned, an not fair to customers.
To explain a bit further my previous post: Having Dreamscene would allow me to run DeskScapes, the functionaslity I'm looking forward to. Can't we imagine Home Premium Edition owners being able to download Dreamscene? Huh?
concerning dreamscene, I don't understand why it is only available for Vista Ultimate. It should be properly working on Home Premium as well, since it has all the graphic stuff Ultimate has (the difference between the 2 editions is mainly security and network related). Can someone explain me why I won't be able to use the cool feature? I don't want/need Ultimate...
