IHW -- so what exactly have you done since your last post to get rid of the system errors you are talking about? I've used WB since version 3, and I've run into some screwy bugs, but nothing like what you described.

It's well known Vista is incompatible with a lot of programs. A utility like Windowblinds that works at the system level is not going to be too happy with Vista in any version.
Incompatibility with latest beta 5.1 and Toni Arts programs (utilities like Easy Clean, Easy Comm). Looks like a flashing sign gone haywire. Excluding these apps allows them to work.
Comment from Gimp bugzilla--- ------- Comment #10 from weskaggs@primate.ucdavis.edu 2006-09-08 16:00 UTC ------- Well, we now have seen exactly four people reporting this problem, and all of them were using WindowBlinds, so there seems to be a strong correlation. Maybe the most likely possibility is incompatibility with a DLL that WindowBlinds installs. System info is as follows: WindowBlinds 5.0 System Information Report: STATUS : WB+ S
Windowblinds 5.0 conflicts with Gimp 2.2 (a paint program ported from Linux, using the GTK runtime environment) resulting in corrupted menu display and upside down text in Gimp. Excluding the various exe files in Gimp and GTK does not work.
