I think we all encountered the problem. It's a shame they never fix it. But in any case, I use this alternative: after setting up right click, I use a backup software called Fbackup . I back it up immediately so all my work is saved. When the problem occurs, I simply do a restore and everything is back to normal again. There's no other way to keep your valuable work saved...
I was wondering if there is a way to have a sidebar with multiple calendars showing the months of the year in sequence... [as in picture below]. The problem with this setup is that when you reload the ObjectBar theme, all calendars show the current month. You have to manually change them when you open the theme.It would be useful if I could have a calendar sidebar! - very useful for planning, and scheduling... I guess maybe then a new widget would have to be made so it can show 6 consecutive
After some experiments, I find it's more useful to "group" widgets into a sidebar. I don't like them individually placed on the desktop - it sort of looks unorganized. I'm just not comfortable with it. The "sidebar" approach is far better. It's visually more efficient. Not only can you have a sidebar, but you can create drop-down bars with more widgets. I was doing the same thing till I realized it was better (for me) to focus on one application. I felt like my system was cluttered with too many similar applications running at the same time - how many "launcher" type programs do you need? After some thought, my decision went for ObjectBar . And so this is how I really learned how to use it - by phasing out the others and concentrating on one solution. It felt like I lost 50 pounds... for me, it seems like it's more efficient

Thanks for the link. Anyways, I like the idea of transparency ... They are (to my opinion) the most useful widgets you can have as they blend in with any skin in Windowblinds. And seeing that I'm an ObjectBar freak!, they are very useful on my ObjectBar sidebar. A good example for a transparent widget is the "hyalo-calendar" by adni18... a little too big - but the concept is great! (widgets that blend with your current theme) ... love it! I really would like to have the full collection as mentioned above... (all the same size) - so the sidebars can be streamlined... boy, that would make me happy...! well... maybe one day...
Here is a snapshot of one of my ObjectBar themes. It's dual sidebars without widgets. It would be nice to make a dual sidebar theme for smaller transparent widgets... currently, I have a 22" monitor and will eventually switch to a 24". Yes, those were interesting discussions... In those posts, ObjectBar is well appreciated by power-users - and that just tells of it's importance. It fits in nicely in the Object Desktop package bringing variety in the deal. It has it's place... but it needs an uplifting... Working with sidebars adds so much usefulness. I think I have found the solution ( at least for me and I hope for others as well )... I was busy making tests with Windows and other applications that control the icon display on the desktop - but - I overlooked the real place to look...! Right there inside DesktopX, is the OPTION to turn on/off desktop icons - just above the "wallpaper" selection - to the left. When I "untick" the HIDE DESKTOP ICONS selection, the wallpaper appears . <img style

So has anyone really sorted this and applied a reliable solution? I've tried the above suggestions with no luck - I still get the dull grey background. Is there anything else than can be done to correct this? Just the same, I find it strange because I can load some desktops with their wallpapers and some I cannot. And so in this case, I figure that "if" another application was blocking the wallpaper from showing, then it would do the same for all desktops... but that's not the case... some lo

Thanks, it's sort of nice to know that I'm not alone... although, after reading those posts, at the risk of looking like a dumm-dumm, it's still not too clear to me what I can do...
All of a sudden, all weather fetchers [desktopX objects, widgets, etc.] are all displaying the same error message: THIS DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE A VALID ZIP CODE. PLEASE TRY AGAIN. What could be causing this and what could the solution be? My usual one is the K-TEK sidebar (K-DOCK) and so I tried many others to see if it was only my usual K-DOCK that had the problem and sure enough, all others I downloaded and tried show the same problem. I've never had this problem

How about more significant UPDATES for all the applications in Object Desktop Ultimate? There's enough skins to "skin" the world! Why not gather all resources and stimulate developments and updates for all existing softwares. Some of them rarely get anything substantial in updates. All the emphasis is on skinning. How about temporarily "shifting" the focus on updates for: ObjectBar, RightClick, DesktopX, and so on... I'd rather see things get quiet for skinning contests and the like and see stro
