This has crossed my mind. All these obviously very young people who suddenly have Windows XP. Nobody I personally know has Windows XP. They get the OS with the personal computer purchase. Name calling is highly immature and counterproductive. With that in mind..however..it doesn't take an inspector from Scotland Yard to deduct that most of the the advocates of this thing are software pirates. And as such it is not surprising that their skins are almost entirely comprised of rips or recolored var

I don't have MSWinXP and I do not envision this computer ever having it. The home edition is $90 up from Windows ME and offers little that I can't already do. Even with that factoid in play...if I had MSWinXP they haven't made a good case why I should sabotage my system DLLs. I find WindowBlinds 2.2, the version currently in use on this particular Windows ME machine, to be plenty fast. Their rantings about WB being slow ring of the hollowness of deceit. Because it's "free"? If you got y

"Walking with Dinosaurs" appears on the Discovery channel. In essence the Dinosaurs were dominate and then an asteroid hit and wiped everything large out. The mammals were in that period a galaxy of rodents which evolved in all kinds of directions. Rodents to protomonkeys. Protomonkeys into true monkeys.Monkeys to apes. Apes to human beings. These theories do not replace the belief in a higher power. Evolutions doesn't conflict very much with Genesis.

I tried it out too. Well boys, even though it is really well designed, it is kind of a glorified version of what was in Windows 98 except now we have bitmaps. It's as if it were designed mainly to create different colors of what comes with XP.

Well jier l0c didn't need froggie's help to look bad. He did a wonderful job making himself look bad. Oh and hey, a liar needs a good memory you know. Judging by Tandis's post above it didn't take you long to forget your own words. I swear some people if given enough rope will hang themselves. Others will steal rope in order to do it.

Tonight some computer friends and i were chatting and started philosophizing about what computers are. Just appliances? Doorways to other worlds? What? Since we're all here to make our computers work better or at very very least differently we must see them as something more than just tools to do a job. Any thoughts?

The cliche actions speak louder than words rings true here. The frog has done many good deeds. And the more successful you are, the more tempting others are to try to make themselves big by trying to belittle ya. .

That was pretty uncalled for l0c. You didn't report a crime. You posted an allegation of a crime about a company that competes with Stardock. Frogboy can't win either way. If he kept your news item, then he was condoning unsubstantiated allegations of a competitor. If he deletes is he gets called a Nazi. Why don't you peddle your ugliness somewhere else.

I thought that with it being a new millenium I could start fresh. Hasn't worked out that way. What would you say was your worst mistake so far in 2001? My mistake: Not dumping my boyfriend before we got engaged. Why: He was always a cretin of sorts. But I was stupid enough to think he would get better. Okay your turn!

this being my last semester of college before I start grad school I was happy to leave my summer college job of waiting tables. one of my friends is a telemarketer. She hates it. It pays really well but it's a terrible job. She can't wait till she gets out of college so she can get a real job. it got me thinking what terrible summer jobs others might have had.
